Welcome / VIP Welcome
“Merry Christmas, Motion! I’m so excited you’re all here to celebrate with us! It’s time for The Big Give, our series all about generosity! But before we go any further with our amazingly fun day, we’re going to take a minute and welcome a special group of people who are here for the very first time. Those people are our VIPs! Motion, help me welcome our VIPs!
If it’s your first time here, we consider you a VIP – a very important person! VIPs, turn your attention to the screen because I’ve got some special instructions just for you.
(refer to the screen)
This is a VIP lanyard. If you’re a VIP, you’re wearing this around your neck right now.
[VIP Slide – Lanyard]
When you leave Motion, you need to take that lanyard to the __________ tent called the Welcome Area.
[VIP Slide – Welcome Area]
Once you get to the Welcome Area, show them your lanyard and they will give you a gift!
[VIP Slide – Gift]
[VIP Slide – All Combined]
VIP Lanyard + Welcome Area = Gift.
If you have any questions about where to go or what to do, just ask someone in a blue eKidz shirt and we’ll be more than happy to help you out, because we’re all so generous, just like our series teaches about.
But what is generosity and what does it mean to be generous? Take a look at the screen and let’s find out together! I’ll say it once and then I want you all to say it with me. Take a look at the screen:
Generosity: Making someone’s day by giving something away.
Say that with me now.
(repeat the virtue with the kids)
“God was generous to us, so that’s why we should be generous to others. Christmas is when we celebrate that God’s generosity and that He gave us the gift of His son, Jesus. Now, it’s time for us to thank God for everything He’s done. We’re going to do that by standing, dancing, and praising Him for what He’s given us. Let’s do that now. Stand to your feet and let’s get ready to sing!”
Worship Song – Noel
“Great job! You can all have a seat.
(wait for kids to be seated)
Christmas is a great time for us to remember that God gave us the most generous gift of all – His son, Jesus. But what does it mean that God sent Jesus? Why is this gift so great? Let’s find out together. Take a look at the screen!”

Salvation Video Intro
“What an amazing message – God gave us Jesus, and because He was so generous with us, we need to generous with other people in our life.
At this point, some of you may be wondering why we keep saying that Jesus is a gift. Right now I’d like to invite the Family Pastor of Elevation Church, Pastor Jeff, to tell us a little more about the gift of Jesus. Check out the screen.”
Dismissal To eGroups
“Now it’s time for us to head back to your eGroup where you’re going to learn more about Jesus and how you can begin a relationship with Him.
When I call your eGroup leaders’ name, you can stand up and follow them back to your eGroup.”
(dismiss kids back to eGroups)
Salvation Video Setup
“Welcome back from your eGroups, Motion! I know you’ve had a chance to talk to your eGroups about the amazing gift that is Jesus. Some of you may have a few questions about the things you’ve heard today and now you’ll have a chance to hear more about that. Motion, put your hands together and let’s welcome Pastor Jeff back to the screen!”
Salvation Video Part 2
Dismissal to Next Level eGroup
“Some of you have some questions about what it means to follow Jesus and I want to invite you to a Next Level eGroup where our team can help you answer some questions you may have. If you’ve received a Next Level invitation, you can stand up and follow ___________ to the Next Level eGroup. Hey __________, why don’t you give everyone a big wave?
(wait for __________ to identify themselves)
If you received a Next Level invitation, stand up and follow _________ now.
(wait for Next Level kids to leave the room)
Memory Verse Game Setup
“Now Motion, I want to play a game that’s going to help us review the memory verse we’ve been learning to help us be more generous, 1 Timothy 6:18.
In this game, we’ll divide the room into two teams and each team will act out an action or phrase that helps show our memory verse in action. Let’s go ahead and divide the room into two teams before I give any instructions. Let’s do this now.
(divide the room straight down the middle)
Every round I’ll choose one person from each side of the room to come on stage and that person will face their team. Then I’ll put an action on the screen that everyone in the audience will have to act out. The people on stage will have to guess what their side of the room is acting out, and if they get it right first, their team will earn 100 points.
Now, this goes without saying, but you CANNOT talk at all. If your team speaks to the person on stage, then your team will forfeit that round and the other will win the points. If you get it, say ‘Got It!’
(have kids repeat ‘Got It!’)
At the end of each round, I’ll put up the memory verse on the screen and then we’ll all say it together before we play the next round.
Let’s get ready to play! Let me call our first two players to the stage…”

Christmas Candy Cup Giveaway Info
“Great job during the memory verse game, Motion! Now before we get into today’s HUGE game, I wanted to tell you how our Motion team is going to be generous one final time this year.
On the way out today, we’re going to give each of you this awesome Motion Christmas cup. Now, I know what you’re thinking – ‘Oh, cool, a cup. I love cups, especially ones with nothing in them!’
Well, our Motion team’s final act of generosity this year isn’t just a Christmas cup, but the opportunity to use that cup and scoop out an enormous helping of Christmas candy from an oversized stocking we’re going to have at the door. As your parents pick you up, we’ll hand you you cup and then you can grab some sugary goodness as you leave today.”
Game Setup – That’s A Wrap
“Motion, as we’re welcoming back our friends from their Next Level eGroups, it’s time to play our final game of the year! That’s right, we’re wrapping up Motion for the rest of this year, and that’s why we’re calling our game That’s A Wrap!
In this game, your Game Groups will be given a bag full of Christmas wrapping paper. The objective of this game is to wrap nine of the ten members of your Game Group in wrapping paper and then place your newly wrapped presents under your Game Groups’ Christmas tree.
Right now, let’s divide into our Game Groups before we do anything else. Find a group of 10 people and as you do that, we’ll bring one Christmas tree over to your Game Group. Do that now.
(have theater volunteers bring one Christmas tree to each Game Group as kids begin to form their groups)
Now when I say ‘Go,’ your Game Group will begin wrapping each other using the items inside of the bag. Each person’s top half must be fully wrapped and the paper must be taped, except for their head. Once they’re wrapped, give ‘em a nice bow and then tell them to go sit under your groups’ Christmas tree. The winning Game Group is the Game Group that has all of their members fully wrapped and sitting under the tree.
Once everyone is in place, we’ll begin playing, That’s A Wrap!”
