STORYTELLER: “Hello friends! Welcome to Quest and welcome to the Wonder! Clubhouse! This month we’re… oh my goodness! This week there’s so much YELLOW in the room! It must be because this month we’re in a series called Colorific where we’re learning all about how God keeps His promises to us, just like He did when He sent a colorful rainbow.”

STORYTELLER: “On the count of three, I want you all to help me celebrate our series, Colorific! When I count to three, I want you to yell out one thing that’s yellow, just like our color of the day! Think about it for a second… what’s yellow? Are you ready? One, two, three!”

Respond to kids yelling out something that’s yellow.

STORYTELLER: “Great job, friends! All of the colors in the rainbow remind us of God’s AMAZING promises and that God always keeps the promises He makes. When I say, ‘Who keeps his promises?’ you say, ‘God keeps His promises!’ Let’s practice! ‘Who keeps his promises?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God keeps His promises!”

STORYTELLER: “Great job! God always keep His promises to us, and that’s something we can celebrate! Let’s sing songs today thanking God for all of the promises He’s made to us. Let’s stand to our feet and sing, ‘Promises!’”

Listen carefully:

‘Trust the Lord (point both index fingers aright up in the air) with all (stretch your arms out wide) your heart.’ (bring both your hands over your heart) Proverbs 3:5” (open hands like a book)

STORYTELLER: “Great job, friends! Let’s say it one more time, ‘Who keeps his promises?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God keeps His promises?”

God keeps his promises and today we’re learning more about a husband and wife named Abraham and Sarah who were promised something by God, but it took a really long time to happen. But even though something maybe not happen RIGHT AWAY, God will always keep His promises. Abraham and Sarah saw that and learned that if God promises something, it’s definitely going to happen.
