CONFIDENCE: Living like you believe what God says is true.
Series Memory Verse: Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
Main Point: Stay focused on Jesus.
Bible Story: Peter Walks on Water  |  Matthew 14:22-33

God is stronger than anyone and He can do things that would be impossible for you or me. He has proved this throughout history, but nowhere is this more evident than in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Because of what Jesus has done, we can have confidence. And when you put your faith in Jesus, you can live fully alive.

There’s an important story about confidence found in Matthew 14:22-33. Peter and the rest of the disciples were out on the Sea of Galilee when they noticed a figure walking on the surface of the water. When they finally realized that the figure was Jesus, Peter called out and asked Jesus to invite him onto the water. Jesus did. And Peter took a stroll on top of the waves. However, only when Peter is focused on Jesus is he able to stay above water.

Stay focused on Jesus. When we put our confidence in Jesus, we are able to find the courage to make the wise choice in a difficult situation. Jesus may not be asking us to walk on water, but He does have something planned for us.

This dinner at week, ask: Who distracts you from focusing on Jesus?

CONFIDENCE: Living like you believe what God says is true.
Series Memory Verse: Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
Main Point: Find friends who help you trust Jesus.
Bible Story: Philip and Nathanael | John 1:43-51

God is stronger than anyone and He can do things that would be impossible for you or me. He has proved this throughout history, but nowhere is this more evident than in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Because of what Jesus has done, we can have confidence. And when you put your faith in Jesus, you can live fully alive.

In John 1:43–51 John recounts the start of Jesus ministry when He was starting to choose the 12 disciples. One of those disciples was a guy named Philip. Philip was so overwhelmed when he met Jesus that he couldn’t wait to tell others. Philip found his friend Nathanael and invited him to meet Jesus. Turns out that Jesus had big plans for Nathanael, too!

Find friends who help you trust Jesus. We all need people in our life who will help us live fully alive. We want kids to figure out who, in their life, is encouraging them to have faith in Jesus.

This week at bedtime, read John 1:43-51. Pray for each other, that you will find and keep close friends who help you live with confidence as you trust God each day.

Quest :: Week of June 30

Monthly Focus: What is with you wherever you go? (The Bible tells me wherever you go.)
Bible Story: God’s Word Is With Me ● Psalm 119:11a
Main Point: I can take God’s Word with me wherever I go.
Memory Verse: I have hidden your word in my heart.”  Psalm 119:11a, NIV

Not only does the Bible show us which way to go, God’s Word is with us wherever we go. Whether we’re young or old, hiding God’s word in our hearts is so important. It allows us to take life changing truths from the Bible with us literally wherever our bikes and trikes can take us.

In this week’s lesson we learned that when we learn God’s words, we can take them wherever we go.

Wherever we go, there is a verse to help us remember the right choices to make. When we hide God’s Word in our hearts by reading the Bible and memorizing verses, we can take God’s Word with us wherever we go!

CONFIDENCE: Living like you believe what God says is true.
Series Memory Verse: Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
Main Point: Trust that God is always with you.
Bible Story: Shadrach, Meshach and AbednegoDaniel 3

God is stronger than anyone and He can do things that would be impossible for you or me. He has proved this throughout history, but nowhere is this more evident than in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Because of what Jesus has done, we can have confidence. And when you put your faith in Jesus, you can live fully alive.

This month we continue our discovery of confidence with an incredible example found in Daniel 3. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego found their faith put to the test when they chose to obey God rather than bow down to the golden statue. They remained confident in God’s power, and God rescued them from the fiery furnace.

Trust that God is always with you. Not only was God faithful to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, but He has also proven his faithfulness to all sorts of people throughout history. We can live with confidence knowing that God will be with us in every situation we face.

CONFIDENCE: Living like you believe what God says is true.
Series Memory Verse: “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13, NIV
Main Point:  God can do the impossible. Live like you believe it!
Bible Story: Elijah and the Prophets of Baal | 1 Kings 18

Amped is defined as being filled with energetic excitement and enthusiasm. When we realize that Jesus came to give us the fullest life possible, we can live confidently in His love for us, and THAT is living an amped life! This June we’re getting amped to help our kids understand that, with God’s help, we can have the confidence to change the world!

In 1 Kings 18 we can see Elijah’s confidence that God could do the impossible. He believed that God would send fire from heaven to prove that He was the all-powerful God of the universe.

Elijah risked a lot because he believed that God could do anything.God can do the impossible. When we believe that God truly can do anything, it will change the way we live.
