Quest – Week of December 24 #Quest

Bible Story: The Birth of Jesus | Luke 1:26-33, 38, 46; 2:1-18
Main Point: I can celebrate the good news.
Memory Verse: “I bring you good news of great joy.” Luke 2:10 (NLV)

There are so many special sights, sounds, and smells that fill the air as we count down to one of the most important days of the year: the day we celebrate Jesus’ birth! As we count down to Christmas in Quest, we’ll think about why this holiday is so special — not just because of all the fun that happens around us, but because it’s when we celebrate the most special Person who ever lived!

In this week’s lesson, we reviewed the entire Christmas story.

We’ve had so much fun this month counting down to the greatest day ever — the day Jesus was born. Prayer with your child thanking God for the gift of Jesus: Dear God, thank you for giving us Jesus, the best Christmas gift ever! We love getting to celebrate His birth. We love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

Bible Story: Shepherds | Luke 2:6-18
Main Point: I can share the good news.
Memory Verse: “I bring you good news of great joy.” Luke 2:10 (NLV)

There are so many special sights, sounds, and smells that fill the air as we count down to one of the most important days of the year: the day we celebrate Jesus’ birth! In this week’s lesson angels go to the shepherds in the fields and announce the birth of Jesus, God’s Son.

I can only imagine how excited those shepherds were to hear about the best gift ever and to actually SEE Jesus on the night He was born. After the shepherds visited baby Jesus they shared the good news with others. The good news is that God sent His Son Jesus to save us, and we should share it with everyone we know, too. Jesus is the most special Christmas gift ever!
