Quest :: Week of April 27

God created us for friendships. He wants us to have friends, and He wants us to be a good friend to others. In fact, He wants it so much, God sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to show us how to be a good friend and make a way for us to be friends with Him forever.

Through children’s early relationships, they are learning how to be a friend, have fun with friends, get along with friends, problem solve with friends, resolve conflict with friends, and above all, love friends. This month, we hope children will learn that Jesus is their friend — the best friend they will ever have.

In this week’s lesson, Jesus surprised His friends when He showed up on the beach and cooked breakfast for them. They were so happy to see Him!

Pack some of your favorite snacks. Grab a few stuffed friends and a blanket. Go outside and have a picnic together. Talk about how Jesus had a breakfast picnic with His friends. Jesus was a good friend to them, and He is our good friend, too!

Quest :: Easter ✝️🎉

Happy Easter eKidz families! We had a special time celebrating that God sent His Son, Jesus, to be our friend forever!

God created us for friendships. In fact, God sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to show us how to be a good friend and make a way for us to be friends with Him forever.  This month, we hope children will learn that Jesus is their friend — the best friend they will ever have.

In this week’s lesson, we celebrated Easter by learning about the most special event that ever happened. Jesus died on the cross and then came back, just as He promised. Jesus is alive!

Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, thank You for sending Jesus to be our friend forever. Help us tell other people the good news that Jesus is alive and He wants to be their friend forever too. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

In this week’s lesson, we learned about the time Jesus entered Jerusalem and all the people praised Him by waving palm branches and shouting, “Hosanna! Hosanna! Yay, Jesus!”

Have your own Palm Sunday praise party this week. Walk around the yard together and say, “Hosanna! Hosanna! Yay, Jesus!”

In this week’s lesson, Jesus shows us how to be a good friend and serve others.

Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, thank You for another day being [child’s name]’s mom/dad. Help us choose to be a good friend to others the way Jesus is a good friend to us. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
