Quest :: Week of June 15

Feeling like we can do anything is a pretty great feeling. We have a power source that gives us the power to do everything God wants us to do. His name is Jesus. And, He is AMAZING! Over the next two months, we’re going to power up and learn about the fruit of the Spirit what happens when we are connected to the real power source.

This weekend, we learned about the time Jesus told a story about birds and flowers to show us that we don’t have to worry.

Grab a battery operated game for your child to play as you drive. Ask, “What gives your game power?” Say, “Yes, batteries give your game power.” Ask, “Who gives you the power to do everything?” Say, “Jesus gives me the power to do everything!”

Quest :: Week of June 8

Feeling like we can do anything is a pretty great feeling. We have a power source that gives us the power to do everything God wants us to do. His name is Jesus. And, He is AMAZING! Over the next two months, we’re going to power up and learn about the fruit of the Spirit what happens when we are connected to the real power source.

This weekend, Paul and Silas showed us that we can have joy — even when we face hard times.

As you drive, take turns saying, “Jesus gives me the power to [action word].” When you get where you’re going, say together, “Jesus gives me the power to do everything!” Example action words: love, help, run, smile, hug, clean my room, forgive, wash dishes, walk my dog, etc.

Quest :: Week of June 1

Feeling like we can do anything is a pretty great feeling. We have a power source that gives us the power to do everything God wants us to do. His name is Jesus. And, He is AMAZING! Over the next two months, we’re going to power up and learn about the fruit of the Spirit what happens when we are connected to the real power source.

This weekend, we learned that when Jesus is our friend, He gives us the power to love others the way He loves us.

Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, we want to love people the way Jesus loves us. Sometimes that’s hard, especially when people aren’t nice to us. Thank You for giving us the power to love, no matter what. In Jesus’ name, amen.
