eGroups

Remember It! Setup

“Welcome back, Motion! Take 10 seconds and circle around your eGroup leader.

(wait for kids to circle around their eGroup leader)

Since Hey Me! has been all about remembering, I want to play one last memory game with you. I’m going to put an image on the screen for 30 seconds. Your eGroup will need to study the image very carefully because I’m going to pull the image down and your eGroup will be asked to remember details about the picture.

We’ll give each team a whiteboard and a marker and your eGroup leader will write the answer on the board and hold it up. We’ll see which eGroup has the best memory and can remember the most!”

Remember It!

(give kids a moment to answer)

That’s right! Next week we begin our brand new Finders series where we’re going to discover the Mystery Of… oops! I almost gave it away! Although I can’t tell you what the mystery is, I can show these awesome clips. Check this out!”

FIND3RS Trailer

Trailer Outro / Game Setup

“Motion, I’m so excited and I hope you’ll be here next week as we find out what’s happening to Dani, who the robot is, and what mystery awaits our heroes.

Now you probably saw in the trailer, but our new season of The Finders will take place in a museum and you know when you’re in a museum that you’re dealing with some pretty priceless artifacts. You’ve always got to make sure the artifacts are safe, secure, and wrapped up tight, which is exactly what we’re going to do in today’s game. Check out the screen!

*eGroup leaders will choose one person to pose as the statue for the round. The statue will stand about 5 feet in front of the rest of the team while everyone else lines up behind a piece of tape on the floor. The person at the front of the line will hold a roll out toilet paper and when the host says “go” will run around the statue with the toilet paper and then hand the roll to the next person in line, who will do the same. The goal is to have the statue covered in as much toilet paper as you can by the end of the round. Hosts will then judge which team has the most covered statue, and that team will earn 100 points. The team that earns the most points by the end of the game wins.*

Game – Artifact Wrap

Dismissal Activity Setup

“Congratulations to the _________ team for winning our game.

Motion, all throughout Hey Me, we’ve worked hard on our Bring It! Challenge and we want to reward you if you Bring It, Read It, and Say It. If you did any of those things, you’ve earned a prize on the way out the door! Take a look at the screen to see what prizes you can earn throughout Hey Me. If you earned a prize today, go ahead and pick out which prize you’re going to pick on the way out.

(while kids are looking at the prize slide, ask two or three kids which prize they’re going to choose and create conversation)

For our last activity, I’ve got a few questions that I’m going to put on the screen and I want you to talk with your eGroup leaders about your favorite part of the day. As you’re talking with your leaders, be looking for your parents as they come to pick you up. Take a look at the screen!”
