Main Point: I will remember: God is good.
Bible Story: Easter Story
Bible Passage: Psalm 107:1
Memory Verse: Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. Psalm 103:1-2
Welcome / Remember That? Setup
“Welcome to Motion and Happy Easter! My name is _________ and I’m here to make sure that you all have an awesome time today! Turn to three people around you and tell them “Happy Easter!”
(wait for kids to respond)
Easter is so exciting for a number of reasons, but one of the reasons I’m pretty pumped is because in a few weeks, we’ve got our brand new eKidz worship album titled Undefeated releasing. Over the next couple of weeks, you’ll be getting more information on it, but there’s two things you need to know: it’s going to be amazing, and you’re not going to want to miss it.
I love Easter because Easter is all about remembering God’s promises to us and remembering what he did. Remembering is so important and before we get started today, I want to test your eGroup leaders’ ability to remember some technology they may have used growing up. Let’s take 20 seconds and circle around our eGroup leaders before I explain how the game works.
(give kids time to circle up)
eGroup leaders, at the beginning of each round I’m going to have you put on the blindfold. Then, I’ll put an image on the screen of an old piece of technology. You kids will have 15 seconds to explain the size, shape, and maybe even what the item does to your eGroup leader. If you actually know what the item is, you cannot say the name of the object, only it’s description.
After 15 seconds we’ll remove the picture from the screen and eGroup leaders will have to choose from the multiple choice options on the screen which item they think was being described. eGroup leaders will write their answer on the board and hold it up in the air. if you get the answer right, your team earns a point. The eGroup with the most points at the end of the game wins!
Let’s do a practice round! eGroup leaders, put on your blindfolds and we’ll show our first image on the screen!”
Remember That Game
“Motion, you did an awesome job helping your eGroup leaders out. Well done! Now Motion, I’ve got a question I want you to answer honestly: how many of you have forgotten to do something? Raise your hand if you’ve ever forgotten something before – it could be homework, household chores, or maybe even your sister’s birthday!
(raise your hand and wait for kids’ response)
You see? We all forget things! But there are ways to remember the things we need to do. We could set a reminder. We could tie a string around our finger. We could even write it on a post it note! But what do we do to remember the most important things in our lives – the most important truths about God? Do we read our Bibles with our parents? Do we pray before we go to bed? Do we sing worship songs when we’re riding in the car? Hey Me is a series all about reminding ourselves of God’s truths. Motion, put your hands together for Hey Me!”

Video Outro / Dismissal to eGroups
“Motion, let’s thank Mr. Frank for speaking with us today.
Motion, right now I want to invite a friend of mine to come on stage and talk to us a little more about what Mr. Frank mentioned. Motion, help me welcome Mr./Mrs. _________ to the stage!
(call Next Level eGroup leader to the stage)
Next Level Leader: Thanks for the welcome, Motion!
Mr. Frank talked about accepting Jesus into our lives, and I want to ask you some questions about that. These questions don’t have right or wrong answers, but I want you to answer them honestly. Everyone hold your thumb out in front of you and if the answer to the question is yes, I want you to put your thumb up. If the answer is no, put your thumb down. I want everybody to close their eyes.
Here we go – first question: Is Jesus God’s son? If you think the answer is yes, put your thumb up. If you think the answer is no, put your thumb down. Ok, thumbs up or down.
Next question: Is sin the wrong things we do? Thumbs up or thumbs down.
Was Jesus perfect?
Did Jesus die and rise again for us?
Will God forgive us if we trust Jesus to save us?
Alright, now I want to ask you some questions that don’t have right or wrong answers but that I want you to answer truthfully about yourself. Ready?
First, if you know you have already prayed and trusted Jesus to be your Savior, I want you to put your thumb up. If you haven’t done that before or aren’t sure, put your thumb down.
Now, if you have questions about what it means to trust Jesus as your Savior, I want you to put your thumb up.
Ok, last question, if you have never trusted Jesus as your Savior, but would like to today, I want you to put your thumb up.
Okay Motion, you can open your eyes now.
Some of you indicated you have questions about what Mr. Frank talked about today. If you indicated you still have questions or would like to ask Jesus to be your Savior, you’ll receive an invitation to my Next Level eGroup from your eGroup leader. eGroup leaders, you can pass out those invitations now.
(while leaders are passing out invitations, you may continue with the next part)
Motion, if you received a Next Level Invitation, follow me out the door to our Next Level eGroup.
(Walk to the door and encourage kids with Next Level invitations to follow you)
Host: Alright, so if you just received a Next Level invitation, you can follow Mr./Mrs. ________ to the Next Level eGroup. For the rest of us, we’ll follow our eGroup leaders back to our regular eGroups.
I’ll call your eGroup leaders’ names and you can follow them back to your eGroup!”
(call leaders’ names and dismiss kids)
“Welcome back from your eGroups! Before we go any further, I want to take a moment and welcome our VIPs. You’re a VIP if it’s your first time here in eKidz. Motion, help me welcome our VIPs!
If you’re a VIP, I’ve got some special instructions for you. Check out the screen!
This is a VIP lanyard.
[VIP Slide – Lanyard]
When you leave Motion, you need to take that lanyard to the black tent.
[VIP Slide – Black Tent]
Once you get to the black tent, show them your lanyard and they will give you a gift!
[VIP Slide – Gift]
VIP Lanyard + Black Tent = Gift.
If you have any questions, just ask someone in a blue eKidz shirt! We’re all here to make sure you have an awesome time today.”
Hey Me Video Intro
“Motion, I’ve got something special for you! Earlier today we were introduced to our new series called Hey Me. Well Hey Me is also the name of a brand new song that we’re going to introduce to you today. Check this out!”
Hey Me Video
“Motion, we love to worship, so much so, that in just a few weeks we’re releasing our brand new eKidz worship album called Undefeated. We’re excited about it and we want you and your family to get excited about it too, so on the way out today, you’re going to get information about a contest where you and your family could win an awesome prize. Right now we’re going to continue having fun and singing songs, so let’s sing our next song, ‘Unstoppable God!’”
Worship Song – Unstoppable God
Hey Measter Egg Fight Setup
“Thanks Motion! Go ahead and have a seat.
(wait for kids to be seated)
Motion, we’ve had lots of fun today and we’ve got another fun game coming up. In this game you’ll have to work as a team to spread some Easter joy to the other teams around you. Check out this video for the rules to today’s game!”
*Kids will divide themselves into four evenly divided quadrants on the floor. When the host says go, he or she will dump buckets full of Easter eggs onto the floor. Kids will have one minute to evacuate their quadrant of as many Easter eggs as they can, using only their hands, throw the Easter eggs into other teams’ area.
At the end of the time period, eGroup leaders will quickly count how may eggs are in their space. The team that has the least amount of eggs in their quadrant will be the winner. One theater volunteer will be walking around with bunny ears and a broom and sweeping eggs off the side of the room and back into the kids’ quadrants. If kids start throwing eggs above knee level, the volunteer will start sweeping eggs into that person’s area*
“Now Motion, while we’re still learning the game, the first round will only last 30 seconds. Let’s get divided into our areas and we’ll get ready to play!”
(Play the game for 30 seconds. When the round ends, count the eggs and announce a winner. Prepare for round 2 to begin)
“Ok, Motion! it’s time for round two to begin. Since we’re comfortable playing the game, this round is going to last longer. So let’s get ready…”
(V/O from the Gobbler comes in and explains the black eggs to the kids: there will also be four black Easter eggs being tossed around which will count as 5 eggs towards the teams total if it is in their square at the end of the round.)
“Oh no! Looks like the Gobbler is trying to make our Easter a little more difficult. Make sure the black eggs don’t make it to your area when time runs out or else you’ll be stuck with a penalty. Ok, let’s get ready to play!”
Hey Measter Egg Fight
Dismissal Activity Setup
“Great job during the game, Motion! Have a seat.
I mentioned earlier that we’ve got a fun contest that is going to help get you ready for our new eKidz worship album called Undefeated to come out. You know what, why tell you when I can show you. Check out the screen!
(Lip Sync Challenge video plays, followed by the Lip Sync Challenge Slide)
That’s right Motion, you and your family get to participate in a lip syncing challenge with your family to help celebrate the release of the new album! When your parents get here, you’ll receive a card that has instructions on how you can participate. Also, make sure you’re here in two weeks so you can receive your copy of our brand new worship album Undefeated.
Before your parents get here, let’s play one more game. Take 10 seconds and circle around your eGroup leader.
(wait for kids to circle around their eGroup leader)
Since today has been about remembering, I want to play one last memory game with you. I’m going to put an image on the screen for 30 seconds. Your eGroup will need to study the image very carefully because I’m going to pull the image down and your eGroup will be asked to remember details about the picture.
We’ll give each team a whiteboard and a marker and your eGroup leader will write the answer on the board and hold it up. We’ll see which eGroup has the best memory and can remember the most!”
