“Thanks for worshipping today! Everybody can have a seat.

(wait for kids to be seated)

Motion, it’s the day of reckoning for Ollie and his group of friends. The competition is right around the corner and an injured Ollie can’t compete in the wakeboarding challenge. What is the group going to do? How are they going to win the bullies’ challenge? Let’s find out in the final episode of Overboard!”

Video Outro / Dismissal to eGroups

“Motion, put your hands together for how amazing Overboard was!

(initiate applause)

It was great watching Ollie learn all about gratitude and that we should give thanks no matter what. We’re going to dismiss to our eGroups and we’re going to learn about why it’s so important to give thanks.”

(Use the Motion eGroup Leader sheet to call eGroup leaders’ names and dismiss kids.)

Wake Or Wipeout Game Setup

“Welcome back from your eGroups, Motion! Throughout Overboard, the game we’re about to play has been one of my favorites. Does anyone know what game we’re about to play?

(give kids a moment to answer)

That’s right! It’s time for Wake Or Wipeout!

I’m going to give each eGroup leader a whiteboard and marker. You’ll huddle around your eGroup leader and I’ll show you a video that will freeze after a few seconds. You’ll have to decide whether the person will wake or wipeout. Your leader will write your teams answer on the board and hold it up. The team who gets it correct will earn 100 points.

Let’s pass out the whiteboard and markers and we’ll get started!”

VIP Welcome

“Great job, Motion! Let’s collect the whiteboard from eGroup leaders.

(collect whiteboards and markers)

Before we go any further, I want to take a moment and welcome our VIPs. You’re a VIP if it’s your first time in eKidz and we’re so glad you’re here. Motion, help me welcome our VIPs!

(initiate applause)

If you’re a VIP, I’ve got some special instructions for you. Check out the screen!

This is a VIP lanyard.

[VIP Slide – Lanyard]

When you leave Motion, you need to take that lanyard to the Orange Tent.

[VIP Slide – Welcome Area]

Once you get to the Orange Tent, show them your lanyard and they will give you a gift!

[VIP Slide – Gift]

Let’s review.

[VIP Slide – All Combined]

VIP Lanyard + Orange Tent = Gift.

If you have any questions, just ask someone in a blue eKidz shirt! We’re all here to make sure you have an awesome time.”

Game Setup –  Leader Overboard!

Motion, one of the most important things about wake boarding is making sure that you’ve got the proper safety equipment on the boat to make sure your wakeboarder can be rescued if there’s an emergency. In today’s game you’ll have to rescue your eGroup leaders in a game called ‘Lifeline.’ Check out the screen!”

*Each eGroup will stand in a line 5 feet away from their eGroup leader. eGroups will be given one life preserver to attempt to toss around their eGroup leader. If the kid makes it around their eGroup leaders body, that team earns a point. eGroup leaders will be asked to hold their arms above their head to make it safe for them. Whether or not the kid earns the point or not, they will go to the back of the line and group leaders will hand the life preserver to the next kid in line. The process repeats for 2 minutes. After the round is over, the team with the most points wins the round. After playing multiple rounds as time allows, the team with the most points wins the game.*

Game – Leader Overboard!

Dismissal Activity Setup

“Great job everybody! You can all have a seat.

(instruct kids to be seated)

Motion, before your parents come, I want us to play one final game with these awesome spooner boards.

Before anybody can become a wakeboard champion, they need to improve their balance and start building muscles to help pull off cool tricks. Kids who learn wakeboarding use lots of fun types of boards to help build their balance and during Overboard, we’ll be working with one of those boards to help you build balance and show off some cool moves.

In our final game, we’re going to test your team’s ability to pull off some sweet moves on a spooner board. We’re going to divide the room into 2 teams. Today we’ll be playing boys versus girls. I’ll call one person from each team to come up and complete a trick you’ll see on the screen. If you can complete the move, I’ll award your team a point. The team with the most points at the end wins the game.

Let’s divide into our two groups and get ready to play!”

(kids will divide into two groups and host will call one person from each team to come and compete during the round)
