Welcome

“Hello Motion and welcome back to Finders VI: The Case of Camp Jupiter! Last week we watched as Caleb and Alex were looking to unravel the mysteries hidden throughout Camp Jupiter, but while they were trying to discover what the camp counselor’s daughter was working on, they seem to have gotten themselves into some trouble. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next and if The Finders will be able to cooperate with Ava and the Camp Jupiter staff to find the truth about the alien invasion.

Speaking of cooperating, it’s our virtue for the series! Everyone take a look at the screen and say it with me now.

Cooperation: Working together to do more than you can do alone.

If you’ve missed any weeks of The Finders so far, then make sure you see me before the end of the day because I’m going to hook you up with a way to catch you up on the adventure!

Now let’s find out what’s going to happen in this week’s episode of Finders VI: The Case of Camp Jupiter. Check out the screen!”

This is a VIP lanyard. If you’re a VIP, you’re wearing this around your neck right now.

When you leave Motion, you need to take that lanyard to the __________ tent called the Welcome Area.

Let’s review.

Game Setup – Follow The Clues

“The Finders are experts are hunting down clues and solving mysteries, but today’s game is going to put your detective skills to the test in a game called ‘Follow The Clues.’ The goal of this game is today use the clues given to guess what I’m thinking about.

Each Game Group will receive a whiteboard and marker and sit in a circle on the floor. I’ll start by reading clues out loud. Each clue I reveal will clue you in on an object, animal, job, or a person I’m thinking about. I’ll read you three clues and then give two Game Groups the opportunity to ask one question each. Hopefully, Game Groups ask helpful questions because after the questions are asked, you’ll have to write down what your Game Group thinks the answer is. Let me give you an example of a helpful question and a not-very helpful question question.

Helpful Question: Do you live underwater?

Not-Very Helpful question Question: Are you an octopus?

If you ask a not-very helpful question, it doesn’t help the entire room make a better guess. You’ll have an opportunity to write on your whiteboards what you think he answer is, but your questions should make sure everyone has enough information to make a good guess.

Let’s hand out our supplies and play a practice round.

(have kids form their Game Groups, hand out game supplies, and play a practice round)

Great job! That was an easy one, but I think you all get the hang of it now. Let’s get ready to play!”

Bring It! Challenge Setup / Trading Card Commercial

“Great job during the game, Motion! Now it’s time for us to clean up these game materials and get ready for our Bring It! Challenge.

(collect all game materials and make sure eGroup leaders have supplies to complete the Bring It! Challenge)

Our Bring It! Challenge during The Finders’ series always looks a little different because instead of prizes for completing the challenge, you’ll earn Finders trading cards that you’ll be able to collect, trade, and compete with while we play our Finders Trading Card Game. What’s the Finders’ Trading Card game? Check out the screen!”

(watch the Finders Trading Card Commercial)

Those trading cards look so cool! I can’t wait to finish collecting a set of my own! You can collect your own Finders trading cards by doing the following things throughout this series. Take a look at the screen.

1. FIND Ecclesiastes 4:9 in your Bible and show it to your eGroup leader

2. RECITE our memory verse for this series, Ecclesiastes 4:9.

3. SAY our virtue for this series.

Ok, so let’s recap. To earn trading cards, you’ll need to FIND this month’s verse, RECITE the verse to your eGroup leader, and SAY the virtue for this month. Circle around your eGroup leaders so you can complete the Bring It! Challenge. Do that now!”
