Unplugged: The Bible is boring
Plugged In: The Bible is the ultimate true story, full of heroes, villains, action, love, and grace.
Bible Passage: Hebrews 4:12
Welcome / Worship Intro
“Welcome to Motion! We’re so excited to celebrate the beginning of our new series called My Bible. During My Bible, we’ll unplug from ideas like the Bible is boring, irrelevant, or unimportant and we’ll plug into the Bible to learn more about it, how to use it, and how it applies to our everyday life.
Before we begin today, I want to welcome a special group of people who are in eKidz for the first time. Motion, help me welcome our VIPs!
If you have any questions, just ask someone in a blue eKidz shirt! We’re all here to make sure you have an awesome time. One of the ways we have an awesome time in Motion is by singing, clapping, and dancing while we worship. Motion, check out this video!”

Video Outro / Dismissal to eGroups
“Motion, it’s so amazing to hear we can plug into the idea that the Bible is the most exciting, most important book in all of history. In just a moment I’ll dismiss you back to your eGroups where you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the Bible.
When I call your eGroup leaders’ name, you can follow them back to your eGroups.”
(Use the Motion eGroup Leader sheet to call eGroup leaders’ names and dismiss kids.)
Me And My Bible Setup
“Welcome back from your eGroups, Motion! During your eGroups you learned how important it is to get plugged into the Bible. Well we wanted you to see how some other kids plug into their Bibles. So, how many of you know The Finders, the mystery solving team from our most popular Motion series?
(wait for response)
That’s right, we’re going behind the scenes with some of The Finders to find out how they plug into their Bibles with a segment we’re calling ‘Me and My Bible.’ Check out the first episode!”
Me And My Bible
“Let’s put our hands together and thank Riley for speaking with us today!
What a cool day for VIPs to visit us! We got to worship together, we learned more abut how the Bible can help us live, and you had a great time with your eGroups. But there’s more! If you’re a VIP, which means it’s your first time in eKidz, listen up because I’ve got some special instructions for you. Check out the screen!

Game Setup – Supercharged
“During My Bible, we’ll be talking a lot about getting ‘plugged in’ and staying connected. Everyone knows that for any device to get power, it’s got to be plugged in or connected to a power source. In today’s game you’ll be working with your eGroup to get connected to a power source on the other side of the room. Check out the screen.”
*Each eGroup lines up in a single file line. The eGroup leader will stand on the other side of the room holding a rope tied to an electrical outlet cover. On the other end, kids will have a bucket filled with washers and the kid at the front of the line will send one washer down the line towards the eGroup leader. Once the washers hits the electrical outlet cover at the other end, that kid will pass the rope to the next kid in line and go to the back of their line. The round ends when one eGroup has all of their washers down on the other end of the room. The eGroup who wins a round earns 100 points and the team which earns the most points wins the game.*

Bring It! Challenge
“Great job during the game, Motion! Everybody have a seat.
During this series called My Bible, we’re celebrating kids who bring their Bible and are committed to getting plugged into God’s word. If you bring your Bible during My Bible, we’ll let you choose a prize from the My Bible Bin. Take a look at the screen and I’ll show you what prizes you can earn.
(refer to the prize slide on the screen)
If you brought your Bible today, you can choose one of these awesome prizes on the way out the door. One more cool thing about this series is you’ll also receive a devotional to use throughout the week to help get you plugged into the Bible at home. Everyone circle around your eGroup leaders and they’ll pass out the devotionals now.”
(Allow eGroup leaders time to pass out and explain devotionals. Kids will circle around their eGroup leader during this time.)
Dismissal Activity Setup
“Today we learned about power, electricity, and plugging into God’s Word. For our final game today, we’ll be working to get a light source connected to the power on the other side of the screen.
We’re going to split the room into two different teams. Each team will have the option of choosing three pieces of wire to connect their circuit while trying to avoid the obstacles on the board. I’ll call one kid from each team to come up to the front of the stage and choose 3 cards that I hold in my hand. From those 3 cards you’ll want to choose the best wire shape that helps your team reach the other side of the screen the fastest. Once you choose which card you want to use, we’ll place it on the board and your team will hopefully be one step closer to completing the circuit.
Today’s teams will be kids wearing glasses versus kids not wearing glasses. Let’s divide into teams, play one game of Paper, Rock, Scissors to see who goes first, and we’ll get ready to play ‘Current Connect!’”
(The game will be played in Pro Presenter and each team will have a laser pointer to help designate where they want their piece to go)
