Welcome / Worship Intro

“Welcome to Motion! My name is _________ and I’m here to welcome you to My Bible, where we’ll unplug from ideas like the Bible is boring, irrelevant, or unimportant and we’ll plug into the Bible to learn more about it, how to use it, and how it applies to our everyday life.

Before we begin today, I want to welcome a special group of people who are in eKidz for the first time today. Motion, help me welcome our VIPs!

(initiate applause)

If you have any questions, just ask someone in a blue eKidz shirt! We’re all here to make sure you have an awesome time, and one of the ways we have an awesome time in Motion is by singing, clapping, and dancing while we worship. Motion, check out this video!”

My Bible Episode 3

Video Outro / Dismissal to eGroups

“Man, what a cool episode! It’s so important to make reading the Bible part of our everyday life. Turn to your neighbor and say ‘You couldn’t go a day without light!’

(give kids a moment to respond)

In just a moment we’re going to dismiss to our eGroups where we’re going to learn how to get plugged into God’s word every day.

When I call your eGroup leaders’ name, you can follow them back to your eGroups.”

(Use the Motion eGroup Leader sheet to call eGroup leaders’ names and dismiss kids.)

Me And My Bible Setup

“Welcome back from your eGroups, Motion! During your eGroups you learned how important it is to get plugged into the Bible. Well we wanted you to see how some other kids plug into their Bibles. So, how many of you know The Finders, the mystery solving team from our most popular Motion series?

(wait for response)

That’s right, we’re going behind the scenes with some of The Finders to find out how they plug into their Bibles with a segment we’re calling ‘Me and My Bible.’ Check out the third episode!”

Me And My Bible

VIP Welcome

“Let’s put our hands together and thank Rosie for sharing with us today!

(initiate applause)

What a cool day for VIPs to visit us! We got to worship together, we learned how to make the Bible a part of our everyday lives, and you had a great time with your eGroups. But there’s more! If you’re a VIP, which means it’s your first time in eKidz, listen up because I’ve got some special instructions for you. Check out the screen!

This is a VIP lanyard.

[VIP Slide – Lanyard]

When you leave Motion, you need to take that lanyard to the orange tent called the Welcome Area.

Game Setup – Light Bright

In today’s episode of My Bible, we learned it would be very difficult to live a day without light, and I imagine it would be difficult to play a game with no light, either. Motion, take a look at the screen!

*In this game, eGroups will work together to sift through the paper and arrange the paper printed with numbers in order from one to ten. eGroup leader will dump all of the paper on the floor and the eGroup must work together.*

Motion, you may think this is a pretty easy challenge, but this becomes a lot more difficult when there’s not much light in the room, just like our life becomes a lot harder when we’re not connected to a light source like God. For this next round, we’ll give each team one flashlight, but other than that, the lights will be turned off and your group will have to work together in the dark. Let’s return all of the paper to the buckets, mix the paper up, and when I say ‘Go!’ we’ll begin the challenge again. Let’s hit the lights and get ready to play Round 2!

*In the next round, the lights will be turned off except for a safety light in each theater. eGroup leaders will hand one kid the flashlight and when the Host says “Go!” the eGroup leader will dump the bucket of paper in the middle of the eGroup. The first eGroup to successfully put all of the numbers in order from one to ten will win the game.*

Bring It! Challenge Setup

“Great job during the game, Motion! Everybody have a seat.

(clean the theater of all game materials)

You see, it’s so much easier to live life when we’ve got a light source; in our lives, that light source is God. All we need to do is get plugged into His Word!

During this series called My Bible, we’re celebrating kids who bring their Bible and are committed to getting plugged into God’s word. If you bring your Bible during My Bible, we’ll let you choose a prize from the My Bible Bin. Take a look at the screen and I’ll show you what prizes you can earn.

(refer to the prize slide on the screen)

If you brought your Bible today, you can choose one of these awesome prizes on the way out the door. One more cool thing about this series is you’ll also receive a cool devotional to use throughout the week to help get you plugged into the Bible at home. Everyone circle around your group leaders and they’ll pass out the devotionals now.”

(Allow eGroup leaders time to pass out and explain devotionals. Kids will circle around their eGroup leader during this time.)

Bring It! Challenge Time

Dismissal Activity Setup

“Today we learned about power, electricity, and plugging into God’s Word. For our final game today, we’ll be working to get a light source connected to the power on the other side of the screen.

We’re going to split the room into two different teams. Each team will have the option of choosing three pieces of wire to connect their circuit while trying to avoid the obstacles on the board. I’ll call one kid from each team to come up to the front of the stage and choose 3 cards that I hold in my hand. From those 3 cards you’ll want to choose the best wire shape that helps your team reach the other side of the screen the fastest. Once you choose which card you want to use, we’ll place it on the board and your team will hopefully be one step closer to completing the circuit.

Today’s teams will be kids wearing glasses versus kids not wearing glasses. Let’s divide into teams, play a game of Paper, Rock, Scissors to see who goes first and we’ll get ready to play ‘Current Connect!’”

(The game will be played in Pro Presenter and each team will have a laser pointer to help designate where they want their piece to go)
