Bible Story: Superbook
Bible Passage: Daniel 6

Countdown

Welcome / Game Setup

“Hello Motion and welcome to Superbook! Today we’ll be traveling through time and learning more about a man from the Bible named Daniel as he teaches some kids to do what’s right, no matter what. To go back to Bible times, though, we’ll need to do a bit of time travel. The room will work together as a Time Travel Team to make sure we can travel through time safely. Check out the screen!”

*Kids will follow the directions of the Host who will guide them through the motions they need to travel through time. Host will call out one of four actions that kids must perform until the next action is called. Hosts should call out moves with increasing pace and any kid not performing the correct move is out and has to sit down.*

“Motion, Daniel was so brave to do the right thing, no matter what. When we  head back to our eGroups, we’re going to learn what happened to Daniel after he’s thrown in the lion’s den. When I call your eGroup leaders’ name, you can follow them back to your eGroups.”

(Use the Motion eGroup Leader sheet to call eGroup leaders’ names and dismiss kids.)

My Bible Promo

“Motion, put your hands together for Superbook!

(initiate applause)

The Bible is such an amazing book and I love reading the it to discover what God has done and how He has done incredible things throughout history. During My Bible, we’ll unplug from ideas like the Bible is boring, irrelevant, or unimportant and we’ll plug into the Bible to learn more about it, how to use it, and how it applies to our everyday life.

Make sure you’re here next week for My Bible!”

Dismissal Activity Setup – Lights On!

“Before your parents come, we’ve got one more fun activity. Take a look at the screen and you’ll see the awesome image for My Bible. You see, the Bible is like a light for us to follow and it can show us which path God wants us to take. In our final game, we’re going to light up some Bingo boards as we try to form a path from one side of the board to the other. We’re going to play a game called Lights On – a variation of Bingo where you’ll be looking to open 5 shutters in a row as I call out numbers from the screen. All shutters on your Bingo boards should start closed and every time I call a letter and a number, you’ll power on that space and open the shutter. The first kid to get 5 shutters open in a row should yell out “Lights On!” and I’ll come check your board. Let’s pass out the Bingo boards and we’ll get ready to play!”
