Main Point: I can be a leader who goes first!
Bible Story: A Brave New Leader
Bible Passage: Judges 4
Memory Verse: “Don’t let anyone make fun of you because you are young. Set an example for other followers by what you say and do.” 1 Timothy 4:12
Welcome / Team Time Intro
“Hello campers, and welcome to Camp Wannastay! My name is Camp Counselor __________ and I’m here to make sure you have a great time. We’ve already had lots of fun at Camp Wannastay getting to know the people in our cabins, but we’ve got lots more fun stuff coming.
Right now we’re going to have Team Time; a chance for you to have fun and play games with your teammates. Any games that you win with your teammates earn your team points toward a big award at the end of the day. Our first game at Camp Wannastay is called Card Ninja. Take a look at the screen!”
*Teams will line up with their groups facing a watermelon at the front of the stage. One kid at a time will come up to a line 3 feet away from the watermelon and throw two playing cards and attempt to lodge them inside the watermelon. The team that has the most playing cards stuck inside the watermelon once all kids have had a chance to throw wins the game.*

Campfire Story Intro
“Great job teams! Congratulations to the __________ team for winning the game. Everybody can have a seat.
(wait for kids to be seated and settled)
Now campers, at Camp Wannastay we love hearing awesome stories and there’s no better place to hear stories than the Bible. We’ve got a super cool Bible story this week that’s going to teach us what it means to be a leader. Check this out!”
Campfire Story Outro / Dismissal to eGroups
“Motion, it’s time to dismiss you back to your cabins where you’re going to learn to be a leader who goes first.
When I call your leaders’ name, you can follow them to your cabins.”
(call eGroup leaders’ names and dismiss kids)
“Welcome back, campers! I want to take a moment and welcome our VIPs. You’re a VIP if it’s your first time in eKidz and we’re so glad you’re here. Motion, help me welcome our VIPs!

Worship Leader Video Intro
“While we’re at camp and we’re learning how to be leaders, we have the opportunity to hear from one of our worship leaders about what it means to worship. Take a look at the screen!
(wait for Worship Leader Intro Video to end)
That’s right, Motion! Let’s stand to our feet and get ready to worship!”
Worship Song – Undefeated
“Motion, stay standing as we sing our next worship song!”
Worship Song – I Am Yours
Team Time Setup
“Now Motion, we played a game earlier where I asked you to throw cards at a watermelon with ninja-like precision. Now you didn’t know this, but when Camp Wannastay isn’t full of campers like yourself, it’s also a ninja training ground and we’ve got one more awesome ninja game to play today. Check this out!”
*Kids will all stand to their feet and face the host. The host will do motions with a ninja sword in hand and the kids must do the action that matches the hosts actions. For example: if the host swings the sword from top to bottom, the kids must block the blow with both their hands crossed above their head. If kids react too late or do the wrong movement, the kid is out and must sit down. The host, theater volunteers, and eGroup leaders will keep an eye out for kids who need to sit down. The team that has the most kids standing at the end of the game wins.*
Team Time Game – Ninja Camp
“Great job everybody! Let’s all congratulate the ________ team for winning today’s game.
Camp time is almost over, but every day at camp we give out awards for campers and teams who have been working hard at camp. Our first award is the team award, which rewards the team with the highest total team score. Teams earned points based on how many team members brought their Bible, how many team members said their memory verse, and who won the Team Time games.
Motion, give me a drumroll as I get ready to announce the winner of today’s Team award!
The winner is the ______ team! Motion, put your hands together and let’s congratulate the _______ team.
(wait for certificates to be passed out)
I’m also giving an award to the eGroup counselor who showed the most spirit today. If you think your leader should win this award, I want you to scream as loud as you can on the count of three. One, two, three!
(encourage kids to yell loudly)
Ok, Motion, the eGroup Counselor Spirit Award goes to ______ of the ______ team! Everyone, let’s all give counselor ________ a hand!
And last, but not least, I want to give an award to one kid in particular who showed great leadership throughout the day. At Camp Wannastay, we want to honor kids who act like leaders, just like in the Bible stories we’re learning about. Motion, give a big round of applause to _________!”
Parent Pickup / Camp Bingo
“Now campers, before your parents pick you up from Camp Wannastay, we’re going to play a camp favorite – Bingo! Each of you will receive a Bingo board along with Bingo chips. I’ll be at the front of the stage calling out letters and numbers. If you have the letters and numbers I call out, place a chip on your board on the appropriate space. As I call out numbers and letters, we’ll show which ones have been called by putting an “X” over them on the screen.
If you get 5 chips in a row in any direction, yell out BINGO! and a counselor will come around to check out your board. We’ll keep track of which numbers and letters we’ If you’ve won the round, you’ll get to choose a prize from the Bug Bin! Let’s pass out the boards and chips and we’ll get ready to play Camp Bingo!”
