Welcome / Team Time Intro
“Hello campers, happy 4th of July weekend, and welcome to Camp Wannastay! My name is Camp Counselor __________ and I’m here to make sure you have a great time. We’ve already had lots of fun at Camp Wannastay getting know the people in our cabins, but we’ve got a lot more fun on the way.
Right now we have an opportunity for your Camp Counselors to earn your team some points by participating in one of the Fourth of July’s greatest traditions – take a look at the screen!
(refer to the video on the screen)
That’s right, it’s a hot dog eating contest! We’re going to call all of the camp counselors up to the stage and hand them two hot dogs. The first eGroup leader to completely eat two hot dogs will be declared the winner and their team will earn points that will go towards the team award at the end of the day. Campers, cheer for your camp counselors and let’s get them up on stage!
(call all camp counselors to the stage)
Ok camp counselors, you heard the rules. The first counselor to completely eat both hot dogs will win this game. If you need to barf, I’ve got a trash can and some water here, too. Counselors in positions? Ready? Go!
(encourage kids to cheer on their counselors)
Congratulations to the ______ cabin who picked up the points for this game! Everybody, give your camp counselors a hand!”

Campfire Story Outro / Dismissal to eGroups
“Motion, that was great! I love hearing more about how we can become better leaders. It’s time to dismiss your teams back to your cabins where you’re going to learn to be a leader who celebrates others.
When I call your leaders’ name, you can follow them to your cabins.”
(call eGroup leaders’ names and dismiss kids)
“Welcome back, campers! I want to take a moment and welcome our VIPs. You’re a VIP if it’s your first time in eKidz and we’re so glad you’re here. Motion, help me welcome our VIPs!

Team Time Setup
“Thanks Motion! You can have a seat because it’s time for me to explain the rules for today’s Team Time game.
(wait for kids to be seated)
Motion, it’s time to play another popular 4th of July game with our cabins. Take a look at the screen.”
*Cabins will line up together behind a taped line on the floor. One person to the front of each line will receive a bean bag and toss it towards the board on the floor, trying to make it through the hole. If the kid makes it, their cabin earns a point. After the kid tosses the bean bag, they must go retrieve the bean bag, go to the back of the line, and the team must pass the bean bag forward to the front of the line. The game lasts three minutes. The cabin with the most points at the end of three minutes wins.
Teams will be staggered in their distance to the board – 1st graders should be the closest, 5th graders should be furthest away.*
Team Time Game – America’s Game
“Camp time is almost over, but every day at camp we give out awards for campers and teams who have been working hard at camp. Our first award is the team award, which rewards the team with the highest total team score. Teams earned points based on how many team members brought their Bible, how many team members said their memory verse, and who won the Team Time games.
Motion, give me a drumroll as I get ready to announce the winner of today’s Team award!
The winner is the ______ team! Motion, put your hands together and let’s congratulate the _______ team.
(let the winning team choose a prize from the Bug Bin)
I’m also giving an award to the eGroup counselor who showed the most spirit today. If you think your leader should win this award, I want you to scream as loud as you can on the count of three. One, two, three!
(encourage kids to yell loudly)
Ok, Motion, the eGroup Counselor Spirit Award goes to ______ of the ______ team! Everyone, let’s all give counselor ________ a hand!
(initiate applause, give group leaders their prize)
And last, but not least, I want to give an award to one kid in particular who showed great leadership throughout the day. At Camp Wannastay, we want to honor kids who act like leaders, just like in the Bible stories we’re learning about. Motion, give a big round of applause to _________!”
(give winning kid their prize)
Parent Pickup / Camp Bingo
“Now campers, before your parents pick you up from Camp Wannastay, we’re going to play a camp favorite – Bingo! Each of you will receive a Bingo board. I’ll be at the front of the stage calling out letters and numbers. If you have the letters and numbers I call out, slide the shutter on your board over the appropriate space. As I call out numbers and letters, we’ll show which ones have been called by putting an “X” over them on the screen.
If you get 5 in a row in any direction, yell out “BINGO!” and a counselor will come around to check out your board. We’ll keep track of which numbers and letters we’ve called on the screen. If you’ve won the round, you’ll get to choose a prize from the Bug Bin! Let’s pass out the boards and chips and we’ll get ready to play Camp Bingo!”
