STORYTELLER: “Hello friends! Welcome to Quest and welcome to the Wonder! Clubhouse! This month we’re learning that the Bible has so many things to teach us and no matter what, the Bible can show us the right way to go. Hey, speaking of knowing the right way to go, I bet there are some special people in your life who know lots of things! You see, this weekend is Father’s Day and I bet the special guys in your lives know lots of stuff! In fact, we want to play a fun game with you and your dads called Mr. Know-It-All!

After Quest today, you’ll head outside and there will be a big wheel you and your dads can spin. After the wheel is spun, a question will be asked and if you get it right, you and your dads earn an awesome Father’s Day prize! How fun and easy is that? Just make sure you take your dad to compete in the Mr. Know-It-All challenge!”

STORYTELLER: “Now friends, I’m sure our dads know the right way to go, but how can we know the right way to go? When I say, ‘What tells you which way to go?’ you say ‘The Bible tells me which way to go!’ Let’s practice! ‘What tells you which way to go?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “The Bible tells me which way to go!”

STORYTELLER: “Great job! The Bible shows us which way to go, just like a compass! Right now, we’re going to sing a song thanking God for showing us the way. Stand to your feet and let’s sing, ‘Show Me the Way!’

SONG: “Show Me the Way”

Lead children in singing, “Show Me the Way,” with the hand motions.

SONG: “Take Care of Me”

Lead children in singing, “Take Care of Me,” with the hand motions.

STORYTELLER: “Thanks for worshipping with me, friends. Before you have a seat, tell me, ‘What tells you which way to go?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “The Bible tells me which way to go!”

STORYTELLER: “That’s right! The Bible tells you which way to go! That’s why it’s so important for us to know what God’s word, the Bible, says. Let’s see what the Bible has to say in this month’s memory verse. Let’s say it together:

STORYTELLER WITH CHILDREN: “‘Show me the right path (circle hands around eyes) O Lord; (point up with pointer fingers) point out the road (point down with pointer fingers) for me to follow.’ (march in place) Psalm 25:4” (open hands like a book)

Repeat the memory verse with the children two more times.

STORYTELLER: “Great job, friends! Let’s say it one more time, ‘What tells you which way to go?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “The Bible tells me which way to go!”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends! Now let’s check in with Ollie at Wonder! Clubhouse to learn more.”

STORYTELLER: “Whoa! How cool is that? If we ever need to talk to someone, we can talk to God and He’ll always be there.”

STORYTELLER: “Remind me again, ‘What tells you which way to go?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “The Bible tells me which way to go!”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends. Today we learned we can talk to God anytime and ask Him to show us which way to go! Let’s bow our heads, close our eyes, and thank God for giving us the Bible.”

STORYTELLER: “Dear God, thank You for giving us the Bible and showing showing us that we can talk to You whenever we want. Thank You for always being there. We love You. Amen.”

STORYTELLER: “Great job today, friends! Now, I’ve got one more special thing to tell about that begins next week! You see, next week is Love Week…

Production will put a Love Week slide on the screen.

…a whole week dedicated to helping our city and neighborhoods. Next week when Love Week begins, you’ll all be given your very own Love Week t-shirts to keep track of how many events you went. We’re going to do this by playing a bingo game on the back of your shirts and the more Love Week events you go to, the better chance you have of winning some awesome prizes like the ones I’m putting on the screen now! Check this out!

Refer to the Love Week Prize Slide on the screen.

and then you and your families can begin helping others. It’s going to be so much fun!”

STORYTELLER: “Now friends, it’s time for us to head back to our eGroups where we’re going to learn more about what it means to talk to God.”
