STORYTELLER: “Hello friends! Welcome to Quest and welcome to the Wonder! Clubhouse! This month we’re going to learn it’s so important to hide God’s Word, the Bible, in our hearts. That means if we know what God says in the Bible, then He can show us the way wherever we go!”

STORYTELLER: “Hey, I have an idea! Since it’s summer and summer is a time when we can go on adventures with our family, I want you to turn to a friend and tell them the most fun place you’ve been this summer! Maybe you’ve been to grandma’s house, maybe you’ve been to the pool, or maybe you even been to the beach! Find a friend and tell them the most fun place you’ve been to. Do that now.”

Engage the kids by asking, ‘Where is the most fun place you’ve been?’

STORYTELLER: “Great job! In case you’re ever wondering where you need to go, I’ve got good news! God’s Word tells us which way to go! When I say, ‘What is with you wherever you go?’ you say, ‘God’s Word is with me wherever I go!’ Let’s practice! ‘What is with you wherever you go?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s Word is with me wherever I go!”

STORYTELLER: “Great job! God’s Word is with you wherever you go! That means no matter where you go on your bikes and trikes, you can always take God’s Word with you. Right now, we’re going to sing a song thanking God for giving us His Word. Stand to your feet and let’s sing, ‘Oh, the Bible!’”

SONG: “Oh, the Bible”

Lead children in singing, “Oh, the Bible,” with the hand motions.

SONG: “Show Me the Way”

Lead children in singing, “Show Me the Way,” with the hand motions.

STORYTELLER: “Thanks for worshipping with me, friends. Before you have a seat, tell me, ‘What is with you wherever you go?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s Word is with me wherever I go!”

STORYTELLER: “That’s right! God’s Word is with you whoever you go! We can to take the Bible with us wherever we go by learning what God’s Word says. We’re going to do that now by practicing this month’s memory verse together. Watch me say the memory verse and then you’ll say it after me.

“‘I have hidden (point to self) Your word (point up with pointer fingers) in my heart.’ (place hands over heart) Psalm 119:11a” (open hands like a book)

STORYTELLER, THEN CHILDREN: “‘I have hidden (point to self) Your word (point up with pointer fingers) in my heart.’ (place hands over heart) Psalm 119:11a” (open hands like a book)

Repeat the memory verse two more times and have kids repeat it.

STORYTELLER: “Great job, friends! Let’s say it one more time, ‘What is with you wherever you go?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s Word is with me wherever I go!”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends! Now let’s check in with Ollie at Wonder! Clubhouse to learn more.”

STORYTELLER: “Wow! The Bible tells us what to do and where to go. What a great book to follow! God gave us the Bible because He wants to show us the right way to go.”

STORYTELLER: “Remind me again, ‘What is with you wherever you go?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s Word is with me wherever I go!”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends. We learned that we can take God’s Word with us wherever we go. Let’s bow our heads, close our eyes, and thank God for giving us the Bible.”

STORYTELLER: “Dear God, the Bible is so special. Thank You for giving us Your words. Please help us to read them, say them, and remember them so we can take Your Word with us wherever we go. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

STORYTELLER: “Before we head back to our eGroups, I wanted to let all of you know how proud I am with the work you did during Love Week. Remember, Love Week was when you went into your neighborhoods and cities and helped our friends and neighbors. In fact, let’s take a look at some of the incredible things you’ve done. Take a look at the screen.

Watch the Love Week Recap video.

A lot of you worked with your family all week painting, fixing, or cleaning up and I think a lot of you deserve a prize.

Production will put a Love Week Prize Slide on the screen.

If you participated in Love Week and you’re wearing your Love Week shirt today, you can head to the prize area outside after your parents pick you up from Quest. There you can get a prize for serving during Love Week. Awesome! Thanks for participating in Love Week, friends!”

STORYTELLER: “Now friends, it’s time for us to head back to our eGroups where we’re going to learn more about what it means when we say we can take God’s Word wherever we go.”
