STORYTELLER: “Hello friends! Welcome to Quest and welcome to the Wonder! Clubhouse! I’m so excited because it’s time for a brand new series where we’re taking a look at God’s greatest work of art — you! That’s right! All this month we’ll take a look at the amazing people God created and learn that God has a plan for you, just like a painter or artist has for their art.

STORYTELLER: “Now friends, whenever I say, ‘Who has a plan for you?’ You’ll say, ‘God has a plan for me!’ Let’s try that now! ‘Who has a plan for me?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God has a plan for me!”

STORYTELLER: “Great job! God has a big plan for all of us and this month we’re taking a very close look at a person in the Bible named Joseph who God used to do big things! We’ll see that God had a plan for Joseph, just like He’s got a plan for us, and that’s something we can all celebrate together. Friends, let’s all stand to our feet and sing, ‘Plan for Me!’”

SONG: “Plan For Me”

Lead children in singing, “Plan For Me,” with the hand motions.

SONG: “Take Care of Me”

Lead children in singing, “Take Care of Me,” with the hand motions.

STORYTELLER: “Thanks for worshipping with me, friends. Before you have a seat, tell me, ‘Who has a plan for me?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God has a plan for me!”

STORYTELLER: “That’s right! God’s got a plan for us and the Bible says that God’s plan’s are forever so it doesn’t matter how old we get, where we go, or what we’ve done. God will always find a way to bring us back into His plan. Let’s take a look at what the Bible says. I’ll say the Bible verse once, then we’ll all say it together a few times. Listen carefully:

‘The plans (hold up fingers 1, 2, then 3) of the Lord (point both fingers up) stand firm forever.’ (stand feet wide with hands on hips) Psalm 33:11” (open hands like a book)

STORYTELLER, THEN STORYTELLER WITH CHILDREN: “‘The plans (hold up fingers 1, 2, then 3) of the Lord (point both fingers up) stand firm forever.’ (stand feet wide with hands on hips) Psalm 33:11” (open hands like a book)

Repeat the memory verse with the children two more times.

STORYTELLER: “Great job, friends! Let’s say it one more time, ‘Who has a plan for me?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God has a plan for me!”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends! Now let’s check in with Ollie at Wonder! Clubhouse to learn more.”

STORYTELLER: “That was great! I’m so glad we learned that God has a plan for us, just like He had a plan for Joseph. I can’t wait to see how God will continue to use Joseph in next week’s Bible story!”

STORYTELLER: “Remind me again, ‘Who has a plan for me?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God has a plan for me!”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends. Today we learned that we’re ALL works of art and just like any good painter or artist, God’s got a plan for our lives. Let’s bow our heads, close our eyes, and thank God for having a plan for us.”

STORYTELLER: “Dear God, thank You for having a plan for our lives, just like you had a plan for Joseph’s. We love you. Amen.”

STORYTELLER: Now friends, I have some exciting news about a very special day coming up! Next week is Mother’s Day, a day when we get to celebrate our mothers and thank them for loving us soooo much! To celebrate Mother’s day, we want you and your mother to memorize this month’s memory verse together, Psalm 33:11. Then, next week on Mother’s day weekend, you can come back and the two of you will play a game outside called ‘Mother’s Day Memory’ where you and your mom will say this month’s memory verse together and win some fun prizes!

STORYTELLER: “When you leave Quest today, you and your mom will get memory verse cards to help you memorize the verse so the two of you can play ‘Mother’s Day Memory’ next week!”

STORYTELLER: “Now friends, it’s time for us to head back to our eGroups where we’re going to learn more about what it means we we say God has a plan for us.
