SLIDE: “WCLU Campus Screen Graphic”

STORYTELLER: “Hello friends! Welcome to Quest and welcome to the Wonder! Clubhouse! This month we’re…oh my goodness! There’s so much RED in the room! It must be because this month we’re learning all about how God keeps His promises to us, just like He did when He sent a colorful rainbow.”

STORYTELLER: “On the count of three, I want you all to help me celebrate our series, Colorific! When I count to three, I want you to say one thing that’s colored red! Think about it for a second — hmmm what begins with the color red? Have you thought of something? Then yell it out on three! One, two, three!”

Allow kids to yell something that is the color red.

STORYTELLER: “Great job, friends! Today, we’re going to learn more about God’s promises to us and the amazing things He’s done. When I say, ‘Who keeps his promises?’ you say, ‘God keeps His promises!’ Let’s practice! ‘Who keeps his promises?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God keeps His promises!”

STORYTELLER: “Great job! God always keep His promises to us, and that’s something we can celebrate! Let’s sing songs today thanking God for all of the promises He’s made to us. Let’s stand to our feet and sing, ‘Promises!’”

SONG: “Promises”

Lead children in singing, “Promises,” with the hand motions.

SONG: “Get Up”

Lead children in singing, “Get Up,” with the hand motions.

– PART 2 –

STORYTELLER: “Thanks for worshipping with me, friends. Before you have a seat, tell me, ‘Who keeps his promises?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God keeps His promises!”

STORYTELLER: “That’s right! God keeps His promises! God made lots of promises to us and when we read His Word, the Bible, we can learn about all of the things He said. Our Bible verse for this month tells us we can trust that God will keep the promises He made. Listen to the Bible verse as I say it, then, we will repeat it together with the hand motions. Listen carefully:

‘Trust the Lord (point both index fingers aright up in the air) with all (stretch your arms out wide) your heart.’ (bring both your hands over your heart) Proverbs 3:5” (open hands like a book)

STORYTELLER WITH CHILDREN: “‘Trust the Lord (point both index fingers aright up in the air) with all (stretch your arms out wide) your heart.’ (bring both your hands over your heart) Proverbs 3:5” (open hands like a book)

Repeat the memory verse two more times and have kids repeat it with you.

STORYTELLER: “Great job, friends! Let’s say it one more time, ‘Who keeps his promises?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God keeps His promises?”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends! Today we get to hear about a time when God made a promise to somebody and did something so incredible, it changed the world. Let’s check in with Ollie at the Wonder! Clubhouse and find out what happened. Check out the screen!”

– PART 3 –

STORYTELLER: “Wow! Noah trusted God and God kept His promise to Noah and his family by keeping them and all of the animals on the ark safe.”

STORYTELLER: “Remind me again, ‘Who keeps his promises?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God keeps His promises!”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends. We can believe God’s promises because we know that God has a plan for each and every one of us. If God can keep Noah and his family safe during 40 days of rain, He will always keep His promises to you, too! Now, let’s bow our heads, close our eyes, and thank God for his promises.”

STORYTELLER: “Dear God, thank You for always keeping your promises. We love You. Amen.”

STORYTELLER: “Now friends, it’s time for us to head back to our eGroups where you’re going to learn more about how God promises to always be with you.”

SLIDES: “Quest Animal Dismissal Slides”

STORYTELLER: “Where is the _________ (color of Quest Animal eGroup, ie: Purple Parrot) eGroup? You can go ahead and line up with your eGroup Leader at the door and go back to eGroup.”

STORYTELLER: “Where is the _________ (color of Quest Animal eGroup, ie: Teal Tiger) eGroup? You can go ahead and line up with your eGroup Leader at the door and go back to eGroup.”

Continue until all eGroups are dismissed.
