STORYTELLER: “Hello friends! Welcome to Quest and welcome to the Wonder! Clubhouse! This month we’re learning that God’s way is perfect. No matter where we go, even across the big blue sea in a GIGANTIC boat, we know that we can follow God’s way, and God’s way is perfect. Hey, speaking of giant boats, on the count of three, let’s all make a noise like a boat’s horn, just like this. HONK HONK!”

Make a deep, loud honking sound.

STORYTELLER: “Okay friends, now it’s your turn! One, two, three! HONK HONK!”

Encourage make a loud, deep honking sound.

STORYTELLER: “Great job, friends! No matter if you’re on a boat sailing across the ocean, or in a car with your parents on the way to Quest, you can know that God’s way is perfect! When I say, ‘Whose way is perfect?’ you say, ‘God’s way is perfect!’ Let’s practice! ‘Whose way is perfect?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s way is perfect!”

STORYTELLER: “Great job! God’s way is perfect, and when we follow God’s way, we know we’re headed in the right direction. One of the things that we can do is to ask God to show us the way so we can follow where He wants to lead. Let’s sing a song asking God to show us the way. Let’s stand to our feet and sing, ‘Show Me The Way!’”

SONG: “Show Me the Way”

Lead children in singing, “Show Me the Way,” with the hand motions.

SONG: “Plan For Me”

Lead children in singing, “Plan For Me,” with the hand motions.

– PART 2 –

STORYTELLER: “Thanks for worshipping with me, friends. Before you have a seat, tell me, ‘Whose way is perfect?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s way is perfect!”

STORYTELLER: “That’s right! God’s way is perfect. Reading the Bible and listening to what God says is the best way for us to make sure we’re following His way. Our Bible verse for this month tells us exactly that. Listen to the Bible verse as I say it, then, we’ll all say it together with the hand motions. Listen carefully:

‘God’s way (point up with pointer fingers) is perfect.’ (two thumbs up) 2 Samuel 22:31” (open hands like a book)

STORYTELLER WITH CHILDREN: “’God’s way (point up with pointer fingers) is perfect.’ (two thumbs up) 2 Samuel 22:31” (open hands like a book)

Repeat the memory verse two more times and have kids repeat it after you.

STORYTELLER: “Great job, friends! Let’s say it one more time, ‘Whose way is perfect?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s way is perfect!”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends! Now, we’re going to hear from our friends at the Wonder! Clubhouse about how we can follow God’s way, even though it may sometimes be difficult. Let’s check in with Ollie and Aija at the Wonder! Clubhouse to learn more.”

– PART 3 –

STORYTELLER: “Wow! Things were so hard for Naaman, especially as he kept trying to do things his own way. But once Naaman decided that he would try things God’s way, everything was made better and Naaman was healed! How cool is that?”

STORYTELLER: “Remind me again, ‘Whose way is perfect?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s way is perfect!”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends. Even though things were hard for Naaman, his story showed us that we should always follow God’s way, even when it’s hard. Let’s bow our heads, close our eyes, and thank God for His perfect way.”

STORYTELLER: “Dear God, thank You for loving us and giving us the perfect path to follow. Help us walk the way that You want us to go, even though it may seem hard. We love You. Amen.”

STORYTELLER: “Now friends, it’s time for us to head back to our eGroups where we’re going to learn more about how we should follow God’s way, even when it’s hard.”
