STORYTELLER: “Hello friends! Welcome to Quest and welcome to the Wonder! Clubhouse! This month we’re learning that God’s way is perfect. No matter where we go, even surfing waves at the beach, we know that we can follow God’s way, and God’s way is perfect. Hey friends, I have an idea! Let’s all pretend that we’re surfing! On the count of three, I want you all to pretend you’re surfing this like this and say ‘Hang ten, dude!’”

Pretend to be on a surf board and say in a surfer’s voice, “Hang ten, dude!”

STORYTELLER: “Okay friends, now it’s your turn! One, two, three! Hang ten, dude!!”

Encourage kids to say “Hang ten, dude!”

STORYTELLER: “Great job, friends! No matter if you’re on a surf board, or riding in a car with your parents to school, you can know that God’s way is perfect! When I say, ‘Whose way is perfect?’ you say, ‘God’s way is perfect!’ Let’s practice! ‘Whose way is perfect?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s way is perfect!”

STORYTELLER: “Great job! God’s way is perfect, and when we follow God’s way, we know we’re headed in the right direction. One of the things that we can do is to ask God to show us the way so we can follow where He wants to lead. Let’s sing a song asking God to show us the way. Let’s stand to our feet and sing, ‘Show Me The Way!’”

SONG: “Show Me the Way”

Lead children in singing, “Show Me the Way,” with the hand motions.

SONG: “Plan For Me”

Lead children in singing, “Plan For Me,” with the hand motions.

– PART 2 –

STORYTELLER: “Thanks for worshipping with me, friends. Before you have a seat, tell me, ‘Whose way is perfect?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s way is perfect!”

STORYTELLER: “That’s right! God’s way is perfect. Reading the Bible and listening to what God says is the best way for us to make sure we’re following His way. Our Bible verse for this month tells us exactly that. Listen to the Bible verse as I say it, then, we’ll all say it together with the hand motions. Listen carefully:

‘God’s way (point up with pointer fingers) is perfect.’ (two thumbs up) 2 Samuel 22:31” (open hands like a book)

STORYTELLER WITH CHILDREN: “’God’s way (point up with pointer fingers) is perfect.’ (two thumbs up) 2 Samuel 22:31” (open hands like a book)

Repeat the memory verse two more times and have kids repeat it after you.

STORYTELLER: “Great job, friends! Let’s say it one more time, ‘Whose way is perfect?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s way is perfect!”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends! Now, we’re going to hear from our friends at the Wonder! Clubhouse about how we can help others go God’s way. Let’s check in with Ollie and Manny at the Wonder! Clubhouse to learn more.”

– PART 3 –

STORYTELLER: “Wow! Even though King Josiah was young, he knew what to do because he knew that God’s way is perfect. King Josiah was able to lead the people to go God’s way, and that’s what made him such a great leader.”

STORYTELLER: “Remind me again, ‘Whose way is perfect?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s way is perfect!”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends. King Josiah was able to lead his people to follow God’s way. He knew that God’s way is perfect. He loved his people so much, he wanted them to know God’s way too. Let’s bow our heads, close our eyes, and thank God for showing us His perfect way.”

STORYTELLER: “Dear God, thank You for loving us and giving us the perfect path to follow. Help us show others that they can go Your way, too. We love You. Amen.”

STORYTELLER: “Now friends, it’s time for us to head back to our eGroups where we’re going to learn more about how we can help others go God’s way.”
