STORYTELLER: “Hello friends! Welcome to Quest and welcome to the Wonder! Clubhouse! This month we’re going to learn it’s so important to hide God’s Word, the Bible, in our hearts. That means if we know what God says in the Bible, then He can show us the way wherever we go! Hey friends, on the count of three, I want you to tell me your favorite thing to eat. Are you ready? What’s your favorite food? One…two…three!

Help kids by shouting out your own answer and encouraging them to yell back.

STORYTELLER: “Great job! It doesn’t matter where you’re eating your favorite food, maybe at a picnic, a restaurant, or a birthday party — you can take God’s Word with you wherever you go! When I say, ‘What is with you wherever you go?’ you say, ‘God’s Word is with me wherever I go!’ Let’s practice! ‘What is with you wherever you go?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s Word is with me wherever I go!”

STORYTELLER: “Great job! God’s Word is with you wherever you go! You could go anywhere in the world on your bikes and trikes and you can always take God’s Word with you. Right now, we’re going to sing a song thanking God for giving us His Word. Stand to your feet and let’s sing, ‘Oh, the Bible!’”

SONG: “Oh, the Bible”

Lead children in singing, “Oh, the Bible,” with the hand motions.

SONG: “Show Me the Way”

Lead children in singing, “Show Me the Way,” with the hand motions.

STORYTELLER: “Thanks for worshipping with me, friends. Before you have a seat, tell me, ‘What is with you wherever you go?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s Word is with me wherever I go!”

STORYTELLER: “That’s right! God’s Word is with you whoever you go! We can to take the Bible with us wherever we go by learning what God’s Word says. We’re going to do that now by practicing this month’s memory verse together. Watch me say the memory verse and then you’ll say it after me.

“‘I have hidden (point to self) Your word (point up with pointer fingers) in my heart.’ (place hands over heart) Psalm 119:11a” (open hands like a book)

STORYTELLER, THEN CHILDREN: “‘I have hidden (point to self) Your word (point up with pointer fingers) in my heart.’ (place hands over heart) Psalm 119:11a” (open hands like a book)

Repeat the memory verse two more times and have kids repeat it.

STORYTELLER: “Great job, friends! Let’s say it one more time, ‘What is with you wherever you go?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s Word is with me wherever I go!”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends! Now let’s check in with Ollie at Wonder! Clubhouse to learn more.”

STORYTELLER: “That’s such an important thing to hear! When we remember how much God loves us and that we can be a part of God’s family, we are taking God’s Word with us everywhere we go.”

STORYTELLER: “Remind me again, ‘What is with you wherever you go?’”

CHILDREN AND STORYTELLER: “God’s Word is with me wherever I go!”

STORYTELLER: “Yes! That’s the truth, friends. We learned that we can take God’s Word with us wherever we go. Let’s bow our heads, close our eyes, and thank God for giving us the Bible.”

STORYTELLER: “Dear God, thank You for the Church. Thank You for making a way for us to be a part of God’s family. I pray that each person in here will grow up and choose to follow Jesus so they can be a part of God’s family too. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

STORYTELLER: “Now friends, it’s time for us to head back to our eGroups where we’re going to learn more about what it means when we say we can take God’s Word wherever we go.”
