SERIES OVERVIEW

Jesus called ordinary men to an extraordinary life with a simple invitation: follow me. They did. And we should to. Jesus’ life on Earth was an example of how to love God and other people. We can still choose to follow Jesus today by living according to His example. Following Him is the best decision we ever make!

CHARACTERS

Canvas Bag :: Should be worn across the chest. (Suggestions: place items in the bag to weigh it down and remove the bag during worship songs if needed.)

NEIGHBOR: Hello, friends! Welcome to the neighborhood. It’s good to see you again! My name is ______________ (your name) and I love living in this neighborhood. It’s full of friends and fun and I can’t wait for the adventures we’ll take as we discover what the Bible says about following Jesus.

NEIGHBOR: In Wonder! Clubhouse this month we’re going to talk about following Jesus! Everyone stand up and march in place with me.

(Lead the children in marching in place.)

NEIGHBOR: Great job! We can follow Jesus by loving God and others, telling others about God, and by praising Him because He’s our friend! If you can follow Jesus, then march in place with me like we’re following Him!

(Lead the children in marching in place.)

NEIGHBOR: Great job, neighbors! Today we’re learning, “I can follow Jesus by loving God and others!” Repeat that after me:

NEIGHBOR: We heard a story from Naima [NY-ee-ma] about Jesus as a little boy. He loved spending time at church talking to the leaders about God.
