Memory Verse: “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13, NIV

“Welcome to Motion! I’m so excited you’re here and I know that all of you are having an awesome summer. All this summer we’ve been learning about confidence and how we can become confident even in the most extreme circumstances. But what is confidence? Let’s find out together!

Confidence: Living like you believe what God says is true.

Now Motion, we’re going to learn how God wants us to live our lives to their fullest potential and how we can live confidently for Him, even while we’re doing something crazy, like extreme sports. Check out the screen!”

Connect Questions Intro

“It’s important for us to have friends in our lives who will encourage us when we’re going through good times or bad. Phillip was able to be a good friend towards Nathaniel and I think we all need a friend just like that.

Now, it’s time for us to answer a few questions about today’s Bible story and the video we just watched. Circle around your eGroup leaders now!

First question: What made Philip such a good friend? Do you have any of those qualities? Discuss that now.

(give kids one minute to answer the question)

Next question: What makes you a good friend? How do you pray for your friends?

(give kids two minutes to answer the question)

Last question: In what ways can you become a better friend this week? What can you say or do for a friend to let them know you care?”

(give kids two minutes to answer the question)

Worship Intro

“Wow, you really had some great answers today! We can have confidence that God has done great things, and that He’ll always be with us. Let’s celebrate that today as we sing, dance, clap our hands, and praise God. Stand to your feet and let’s sing, ‘Louder.’”

“Now Motion, it’s time for the Bring It! Challenge!

The Bring It! Challenge is where you can earn fun prizes for doing something you already do — learning your memory verse and virtue! During this month’s Bring It! Challenge, you’ll need to do the following three things to receive a prize. Check out the screen.

(watch the Bring It! Challenge video)

That’s right, Motion! To receive your Bring It! prize, you’ll need to:

FIND Philippians 1:6 in your Bible and show it to your eGroup leader.

RECITE the verse for this series, Philippians 1:6, from memory.

SAY our virtue for this series from memory. In fact, that’s on the screen now, too!

(say the virtue again with the kids)

Confidence: Living like you believe what God says is true.

Ok, so let’s recap. To earn your prize, you’ll need to FIND this month’s verse, RECITE the verse to your eGroup leader, and SAY the virtue for this month. Take a look at the screen and you can see the prizes now!

(refer to the prize slide)

Circle around your eGroup leaders and let’s complete the Bring It! Challenge!”

Love Week Recap / Prizes

“Great job during the Bring It! Challenge, Motion! Now, before we continue I wanted to take a minute and recognize the incredible week we had during Love Week. For those of you who don’t know, Love Week is a time for our whole church to come together and spend time in our communities making them a cleaner and safer place to play, to go to school, and to share more about Jesus.

If you served during Love Week, then you collected signatures on the back of your Love Week bingo shirts which have earned you some awesome eKidz prizes! Let’s check out the screen!

(refer to the Love Week Prize Slide)

Here are the three prizes you could have earned during Love Week. You can get your prize by heading to the prize tent located __________ and showing them the Love Week t-shirt you’ve got on. The more signatures you earned, the higher level prize you’ll get. Thanks again for serving during Love Week, Motion!”

Game Setup – BMX-TREME

“Now, for today’s game we’re going to take a look at the extreme sport of ‘BMX,’ or bicycle motocross! In this game we’re going to watch a clip about some awesome people doing incredible, perilous stunts. Then, halfway through the clip I’m going to pause the video and you’ll have to figure out what happens next.

There will be four ‘corners’ in the room and each ‘corner’ will be marked by a volunteer who’s holding a sign. After the first video clip ends, you’ll be presented with four choices of what happens next. You’ll move to the corner that has the answer you think is correct. Once everyone has made their choices, I’ll continue the video clip and we’ll find out which ‘corner’ got the answer correct.

Ok, let’s take a look at the screen and get started playing ‘BMX-Treme!’”
