Connect Questions Intro

“Samson’s strength didn’t come from his hair, it came from God. In the end, Samson realized something he should have known all along: God is stronger than anyone and when have confidence in Him, we can do anything.

Now, it’s time for us to answer a few questions about today’s Bible story and the video we just watched. Circle around your eGroup leaders now!

First question: Who are some of the strongest people in your life? What are some of the different ways someone can be strong? Discuss that now.

(give kids one minute to answer the question)

Next question: Why does it matter if God is stronger than anyone? How can His strength help you? Discuss that now.

(give kids two minutes to answer the question)

Last question: We may have friends that are sad, hurt, confused, and want to give up when difficult things happen. How can this story help your friends realize they can have confidence in God’s strength?”

(give kids two minutes to answer the question)

Worship Intro

“Wow, you really had some great answers today! I’m so thankful we get to sing praises to Jesus today. We can be confident that He has done great things, and that He’ll continue to do great things. Let’s sing, dance, and clap our hands and praise God as we sing, ‘Dance.’”

Father’s Day — Mr. Know-It-All

“Great job during worship, Motion! Go ahead and have a seat!

(wait for kids to be seated)

Before you head back to your eGroups, I’ve got some exciting news to tell you about a cool event happening today! You see, this weekend is Father’s Day and we want to see if your dad or any other important guy in your life is a Mr. Know-It-All! You see, after you get picked up from Motion later today, there will be a big trivia game happening right outside where you AND your dads can compete in order to see who’s the biggest Mr. Know-It-All around.

When you leave today, make sure you swing by the trivia game and spin the wheel a few times and to see if your and your dad can answer some eKidz trivia. No matter if he really is a big Know-It-All or not, we’ve got some prizes to give him as our way of saying ‘Thank you!’ for being so special.

Make sure you head to the Mr. Know-It-All game station after Motion today!”

Dismissal To eGroups

“Now it’s time for us to head back to our eGroups. When I call your eGroup leaders’ name, you can follow them back.”

(dismiss kids back to eGroups)

“Great job during the Bring It! Challenge, Motion! Everyone can have a seat because I have some important information to share about a big event coming up next week. Everyone find your seat now!

(give kids a moment to have a seat and get refocused)

Next week is a MASSIVE weekend in our church because it’s the kickoff of a week called Love Week. During Love Week we’re going to go into our city and work to make a difference in people’s lives. We have the chance to partner with over 300 organizations and volunteer over 90,000 hours all across the United States and you get to play a part in making it all happen.

But what kind a part can you play in Love Week? Well, you can make sure your family knows about it and you can ask them to serve with you! It may not sound like an easy thing do to, but check out this video of a young kid who’s trying his best to spend time with his family during Love Week. Check this out.

Hey that was pretty cool! We can have confidence when we ask people to go serve with us during Love Week because we know that serving others is something God wants us to do!

Now one of the coolest parts of look Week is all of the awesome gear and prizes you get the more you participate. At the first event you go to, you’re going to get a sweet looking eKidz t-shirt where you can keep track of how many events you’ve served at. The more you serve, the bigger and better prizes you’ll get! Check out the screen for this year’s prizes!

(refer to the Love Week prize slide)

Man, look at all of those prizes! For the first level prize you can earn a cool Love Week lanyard. For the second prize you can earn a Love Week beach ball for you to take to the beach or even to the beach volleyball court. For the final prize, you can earn a ridiculously cool Love Week flying disk to play with in your backyard or at the park with some friends.

All of the Love Week action kicks off next week, so make sure you’re here as we begin one of the best times of the year.”

Game Setup – Sweaty Palms

“Now Motion, it’s time for today’s game! During our series Amped, we’ll be looking at different kinds of EXTREME sports and for today’s adventure, I thought we’d look at some extreme sports that, just by watching clips of them, can make your palms sweaty.

During this game, we’re going to watch a clip of some extreme sports. I’ll then pause the clip and have you decide what you think comes next. You’ll make your choice by choosing one side of the room or the other, depending on your answer.

Ok Motion, everyone stand up and let’s get ready to play ‘Sweaty Palms!’”

Game – Sweaty Palms

“Great job today, Motion! Remember, Love Week begins next week, so be sure to invite your family and friends along with you to any Love Week events so you can start earning credit towards those cool Love Week prizes.

Lastly, we’re going to check out another way to tell today’s Bible story about confidence. Check out the screen and listen for your name to be called as your parents begin to arrive.
