Motion :: Week of May 25

Throughout history, God has offered strength to help people persevere through difficult situations. Jesus persevered through death itself to make it possible for us to have a forever relationship with God. Because of what Jesus did for us, we can trust Him to help us find the strength to persevere through whatever we face.

We finished this series with another passage in Hebrews. In Hebrews 12:2-3, the author wrote that when we run the race of life with perseverance, we should focus our attention on Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate example of someone who endured death itself to accomplish the rescue mission God set out for Him.

Keep going because of what Jesus did for you. Knowing that Jesus persevered through death and was resurrected is the best encouragement for us to keep going when life gets hard. When we focus on Jesus, we remember that nothing is impossible and God will help us get through whatever we face in life.

At dinner tonight, have each person pick an activity that they find challenging. Together, commit to persevering and completing your challenges this month!
