Finders VI: The Case Of Camp Jupiter
Virtue: Cooperation: Working together to do more than you can do alone.
Main Point: We can work together to help someone else succeed.
Bible Story: Defeating the Amalekites
Bible Passage: Exodus 17:8-13
Memory Verse: “Two people are better than one. They can help each other in everything they do.” Ecclesiastes 4:9 (NIrV)
“Hello Motion and welcome back to Finders VI: The Case of Camp Jupiter! Last week we kicked off this series by taking a trip to Camp Jupiter where campers have reported seeing what appears to be aliens. The camp director, Mr. Stone has asked The Finders to help solve the mystery surrounding the recent unexplained appearances. In doing so, however, it seems that Caleb and his younger brother, X, will have to cooperate in order to get to the bottom of this mystery.
Speaking of cooperation, it’s our virtue for the series! Everyone take a look at the screen and say it with me now.
Cooperation: Working together to do more than you can do alone.
Now it’s time for us to visit Camp Jupiter where we’re sure to hear more about cooperation and The Finders’ newest mystery. Check out the screen!”

Game Setup – Please Sir, I’d Like S’more!
“In today’s episode of Finders VI, the characters we’re sitting around a campfire eating one of my favorite things in the entire world – S’more’s! Cooking the proper s’more is actually pretty tricky, because you have toast the marshmallow juuuust right. If you don’t put it in the fire long enough, it’s still cool on the inside, but if you leave it in for too long, you’ll burn the marshmallow, and that’s no good! In todays game we’re going to cook some s’mores and make sure they come out perfectly.
In just a moment you’ll divide into Game Groups. I’ll build a campfire and call one kid from each Game Group to come and roast a marshmallow. Everyone on stage will hold their marshmallow over the fire while a tune plays over the speakers. The tune will end and then soon after, a buzzer will sound. The winner of each round is the kid who is the last one to pull their marshmallow away from the campfire after the tune ends, but before the buzzer sounds.
This will be a test of courage, patience, and plenty of guessing, but we’re going to find out which Game Group will be the marshmallow toasting champion. Divide into Game Groups and in one minute I’ll call our first players up on stage.”
