Lesson Overview

Newton and Pixie are almost finished creating a robot for Dr. Tomororw, but still need a few more robot parts. This weekend they used the Mail-O-Matic to send a message to Speedy Sam at the Robo Depot asking him to deliver robot hands.

When Speedy Sam arrived at Dr. Tomorrow’s Robot Repair Shop, Pixie was trying to fix Newton. It was time for Newton’s scheduled maintenance, but when Pixie turned a bolt, he broke into lots of pieces! TiMo showed Pixie the video from Dr. Tomorrow to help her. It was a Bible story about Jesus spending time in prayer with God. After hearing the Bible story about Jesus praying to God, Pixie decided to pray to God, too! After praying to God and asking him to help her, she decided to try again to tighten the bolts on Newton. When she did it worked and he was fixed! Pixie and children learned “Jesus Prayed!” from our time at Dr. Tomorrow’s Robot Repair Shop.

Tool of the Day

Speedy Sam helps deliver robot parts with speed to those in need, but with each delivery, customers receive a special tool – the Tool of the Day! This weekend’s Tool of the Day was a tape measure. Customers weren’t the only ones who received tape measures with their delivery, but each Quest child received their own tape measure, too! Each weekend, children will collect a different Tool of the Day to help them remember what we learn in Quest.

Memory Verse

Each weekend in Quest we review our series memory verse. Recite it with your child at home, too! Children who can recite this verse on the weekend of MAY 31/JUNE 1 will receive a special robot prize!

Give thanks (prayer hands)
to the Lord, (point up)
for he is good. (two thumbs up)
His love (cross arms over chest)
endures forever. (spread arms wide)
Psalm 136:1 (NIV)
