Table Talk I Week of November 23

Family life is busy, so being intentional with the time you do have is more important than ever. Table Talk helps mealtime matter — whether it’s at the soccer field, in the car, or around the table. Let this resource be a tool to connect your family and create faith-based conversations with your Quest and Motion children.

QUEST

3 YEARS – KINDERGARTEN

This weekend, we learned “I can say thank you.” Jesus healed 10 lepers, but only one of them came back to thank Him. Not everyone remembers to bubble with thanks, but we want to make sure we always choose to stop and say thank you. Check out this week’s curriculum recap here.

Question 1: When Jesus healed the 10 lepers, did all of them go back to say “thank you” or just one of them? (just one of them)
Question 2: Just like the man who went back to give thanks, can you say “thank you” for everything God has given you? (yes)
Question 3: What are three things you can thank God for right now?

MOTION

1ST – 5TH GRADE

This weekend, we learned that it’s actually good to ask God questions and wrestle with our faith. Sometimes our faith feels strong, like a brightly burning fire. Other times we feel full of doubt, and that fire begins to fade. Asking questions and striving to learn provide the friction we need to keep our “faith fires” burning. Check out this week’s curriculum recap here.

Question 1: Have you ever read something in a Bible story or learned something about our faith that didn’t make sense to you? (Parents, this could be a great opportunity to share with your child about any faith questions you’ve had!)
Question 2: When you have questions about your faith, who do you usually ask?
Question 3: Is God okay with us asking questions about our faith and what we learn in His Word? (Yes! God is wise and can handle all of our questions. He knows that asking questions and seeking out the answers will help us grow closer to Him.)
