During Love Week 2012, eKidz families, volunteers, and friends invaded the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte and served a total of 994 hours loving on the families and staff of the House! The volunteers served the House in many ways, including preparing dinners, baking cookies, making Welcome Boxes, and decorating doors.
The culminating event of the eKidz Invasion at the Ronald McDonald House was called The House Party. At The House Party Elevation volunteers were able to participate in a number of service projects such as a pancake breakfast, car detailing and 30 point check, kids crafts, spring cleaning, sorting toiletries, as well as pampering the families and staff at the House with nail, hair, and massage treatments.
One family who has been staying at the House since November 1, 2011, said, “This has been the best week we have had here at the Ronald McDonald House since we arrived, including Christmas. Thank you.”
To everyone who participated in the eKidz Invasion during Love Week – THANK YOU for playing a part in shining Christ’s love in the city of Charlotte! Your generosity will leave a lasting impact on those at the House.
