Monthly Bible Verse: Hebrews 4:12 “For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
Bible Story: Hebrews 4:12
Main Point: Devoted to God’s Word
When we are devoted to God’s Word, it helps us see ourselves like God sees us, helps show us where to go, and helps us solve problems. God’s Word is a tool and an example for our lives and it gives us directions for how to live, as well as answers to whatever question or problem we are facing.
Encourage your child to be devoted to God’s Word this week by spending time each day reading the Bible. Use the Devoted to God’s Word card your child received in Motion. It contains Bible verses and prayers to get your child started.
Bible Story: Queen Esther | Esther 1-10
Main Point: I Will Help Others!
Memory Verse: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.” Mark 12:30
We had another incredible weekend at Animal Adventureland as our sixth ride, the Teal Tiger Tea Cups, opened! Park owner Rosie Rider created the Teal Tiger Tea Cups because she wanted to teach everyone that we can help others!
From our Bible story we learned God made Esther the Queen so she could help her people be free. We learned “ I Will Help Others!” and just like Queen Esther helped her people, we can help others too!
Rosie Rider also introduced our new July Park Code. All of our Animal Adventureland friends are encouraged to learn and memorize this month’s Park Code:
Love the Lord your God (point up with both hands)
with all your heart, (place one hand over your heart)
all your soul, (place your other hand over your heart)
all your mind, (point to head with fingers)
and all your strength. (make muscles with both arms)
Mark 12:30 (hold up 1 finger, then 3)
Every weekend in July, Quest kids can recite the Park Code for a special prize. Work with your child to learn the Park Code this week at home!
Monthly Focus: Jesus Hears Me When I Pray!
Bible Story: Daniel and the Lions’ Den | Daniel 6:7-23
Weekend Activity: Daniel and the Lions’ Den coloring page
Use the Daniel and the Lions’ Den coloring page your toddler colored and one night before bedtime use it to review the monthly focus, Jesus Hears Me When I Pray!, with your toddler. Ask, “Why was Daniel in the lions’ den? Did God hear Daniel? Does God hear us when we pray?” Say, “Daniel got thrown into a den of lions because the King said Daniel couldn’t pray to God. But Daniel prayed to God. When we pray, Jesus is with us and hears us!”
