Quest :: Week of August 5

Monthly Focus: Who made everything wonderful? (God made everything wonderful.)
Bible Story: Land and PlantsGenesis 1:9-13
Main Point: God made the land and plants and they are wonderful.
Memory Verse: You have done great and wonderful things.” 2 Samuel 7:23 (NIrV)

God made the world and everything in it. And when we see what God has made, it reminds us what a BIG and creative God He is. But, God’s favorite creation isn’t a volcano, a supernova, or an otter—it’s people. The God who made all things good, is the God who made you.

In this week’s lesson we learned God made the land and plants.

God made the land and plants, and they are wonderful. God made the very land they are standing on, every food that they eat, and every flower that they see. Everywhere they look, they can see something wonderful that God made.

August Memory Verse
This month our Bible verse says God did great and wonderful things. Creating the world and everything in it – including YOU – was pretty great and wonderful!

Children can recite the verse every week in August to earn a special memory verse card. When your child receives a memory verse card celebrate with them on learning their verse and put the card on their Quest poster.

You have done (point up)
great (wave with left hand)
and wonderful (wave with right hand)
things. (clap hands together)
2 Samuel 7:23, NIrV (open hands like a book)

Practice this verse together and encourage your child to recite it to their eGroup Leader this week in Quest.
