Monthly Focus: Who’s got it? (God’s got it.)
Bible Story: Hagar | Genesis 21:14-20
Main Point: God hears me and gives me what I need.
Memory Verse: “God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9, NLT
All of us, children and grown-ups alike, will sometimes come up against things we just can’t do. Maybe we don’t have what it takes to makes things better. It could also be that we don’t have the answers, energy, wisdom, patience, solution, or way out of a situation.
But, we do know the One who does. And, when you know the One who does, there’s no need to worry. God’s got it. That’s what we’re talking about this month. We don’t need to worry, be afraid, or feel alone. God’s got it!
In this week’s lesson, we learned that God hears us and gives us what we need, through the story of Hagar and her son.
God hears us and gives us what we need, no matter what situation we find ourselves in. God heard Hagar and her son, and God hears us too.
As you drive, tell your child to look out of the window and name places as you pass them. Each time he/she names a place, ask, “Is God with you when you go to the [place name]? Yes! God is with you wherever you go!”
