Safari :: Week of March 2

WE’RE LEARNING… God made everything. God made me.
MEMORY VERSE: “God created the heavens and earth.” Genesis 1:1b (NIV)
BIBLE STORY: The Beginning I Genesis 1

This month we’re learning, “God made everything. God made me.” God made everything we see and He made us. God made us wonderfully and He loves us so much.

We will learn the story, “The Beginning,” in Genesis 1. In the very beginning, the world was dark and empty, but God had a plan. He created day and night. He made a big blue sky,  a shining sun, and puffy clouds. He even created a big ocean with lots of fish, land with flowers and tall trees, and animals to creep and crawl. But God’s favorite and best creation was people! God saw that He made everything wonderful and He rested. God made everything we see and He made you and me. He loves us so much!

We made a Bible Story Meal Time Mat to help us remember God made everything and God made us. Place the Bible Story Meal Time Mat at the table where your toddler eats. Before each meal, point to the place mat and review the Bible story with your toddler:

  • What do you see in the picture? (trees, a river, flowers, animals)
  • Who made everything? (God made everything.)
  • Who made me? (God made me.)

Say, “God made everything! He made the big blue sky and the puffy clouds. He made all of the animals that fly in the sky, swim in the sea, and crawl on the ground. God made you and He loves you so much! Who made everything? Who made you?” Encourage your toddler to say, “God made everything. God made me!”
