Camp Wannastay – Week 10 #Quest

Bible Story: Genesis 6:5-7:16 | Noah Obeys God
Main Point: Leaders work hard!
Memory Verse: “Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith.”  Hebrews 13:7

At Camp Wannastay we are learning to be leaders who work hard! This week, our friend Brownie Bear taught us about a man named Noah. God told Noah a flood was coming and for Noah to build an ark. Noah had to work hard with his family so he could build the ark and put two of each animal on it. Noah was a leader who worked hard and we can be leaders like Noah, by working hard in all we do.

We are partnering with Newspring Church and using their Camp Wannstay video curriculum. To learn more about KidSpring, visit https://newspring.cc/kidspring.

This week, we received camp mail from our friend Green Gorilla who invited us to Green Gorilla celebration next week. He asked everyone to wear his favorite color, GREEN, so make sure to wear GREEN this next week!

Camp Canteen
Join us in helping your child learn Hebrews 13:7, our camp memory verse. Children can recite this verse each week during Camp Wannastay to collect a prize from the Camp Canteen.

Remember your leaders (point to head and say “bing”)
who taught you the word of God (open hands like a book)
Think of all the good (two thumbs up)
that has come from their lives, (spread arms wide)
and follow the example (cup hands around mouth while whispering)
of their faith. (shout and pump fist in the air)

Learning this verse helps us learn how to be better leaders, like those in the Bible stories we read each week. Practice your verse with your camper then ask your child to Remember, Think, and Follow to review what we learned this weekend:

  1. Remember: Who was the leader you learned about at Camp Wannastay? (Noah)
  2. Think: How did Noah do what was right? (We worked hard to build the ark.)
  3. Follow: How can you be a leader like Noah? (by working hard)
