Dr. Oldman realized he isn’t honoring some people in his life like he should be. By not acknowledging the gifts and talents God has given others, he is dishonoring them. When we acknowledge the gifts and talents in others, we show them honor!

But how can we use the gifts God gives us to show honor?

If God gives everyone gifts, He wants us to use these gifts and talents for Him! God gave Joseph the gift of interpreting dreams. Look up the verses below and see if you can identify what gifts God gave to each of the people mentioned. Find a piece of paper and write them down.

David – 1 Samuel 17:33

Solomon – 1 Kings 3:7

Josiah – 1 Chronicles 34:1-2

Jeremiah – Jeremiah 1:7

Timothy – Acts 16: 1-3

The Bible says in 1 Peter 4:10 that God wants us to use whatever gift God has given us. Each of the people you looked up used their gifts to bring glory to God, and you can do the same thing! Think of some gifts you have, or some things you are really good at doing and write them down. Since God created each one of us, He gave us our gifts and talents and it’s really important for us to use them!

This week, pray and ask God to show you ways that you can use the gifts and talents He gave you to bring Him glory!
