Drive Time Toddler Prayers

Turn drive time into a fun prayer time with your toddler!

The next time you are in the car with your toddler, name a body part and ask your child to point to it.  Once your child has pointed to the body part, say a prayer for that body part.

For example, ask your child where their hands are.  Allow time for your child to point to their hands.  SAY, “That’s right!  Those are your hands.  Let’s pray to God and thank Him for your hands!  Dear God, thank you for (insert child’s name)’s hands.  Let (insert child’s name) use his/her hands to help his/her friends today.  Amen.”

Continue naming body parts and praying for each body part.  Below are sample prayers to use.

Ears: Dear God, thank you for (insert child’s name)’s ears. Let (insert child’s name) use his/her ears to listen and obey his/her teachers.  Amen.
Eyes:  Dear God, thank you for (insert child’s name)’s beautiful eyes. Let (insert child’s name) use his/her eyes to see ways to be kind to others.  Amen.
Feet: Dear God, thank you for (insert child’s name)’s feet. Let (insert child’s name) use his/her feet to be loving to his/her friends today.  Amen.

During your next drive time with your toddler, have fun reviewing body parts while also investing spiritually in your toddler!
