Join our team of FearBusters who use truth from God’s Word to help them know what to do when they are scared. With the help of Beaker and FearBuster agent Lou True, we’ll learn how to BUST our fears and even help our monster friends bust their fears, too!

 
This weekend, our friend BeBo Monster was afraid during bedtime. When he closed his eyes, it got really dark and the dark made him really scared. Agent Lou True helped BeBo by reading a story from God’s Word, the Bible! He read about a time when Jesus taught his friends, the disciples, how to pray. Jesus taught his friends we can pray to God and ask Him for what we need. After reading the Bible story, BeBo Monster decided to pray to God and ask for help to not be scared of the dark!

To help our FearBuster friends bust their fears, Quest children received a FearBusted Box to collect truths from God’s word to know what to do when they are scared. Each weekend children will collect another truth to put in their FearBusted Box!

In this week’s truth bag was a finger light! Use the truth card to start a discussion with your child about their fears and to review the Bible story and main point.

Ask, ’’What do you do when you feel scared?”

Memory Verse
Our memory verse during FearBusters teaches us that God can free us from all our fears.

I prayed (pretend to pray)
to the Lord (point up),
and He answered me. (cup hand to ear)
He freed me (wave arms and smile)
from all my fears. (make scared face)

Each weekend children can recite the memory verse for a ROAR-some monster prize. Start working with your child to learn this verse so they can remember God helps us BUST our fears!
