This Week in Motion :: Keep going because of what Jesus did for you.

Keep going because of what Jesus did for you. ● Hebrews 12:1-3

As a family, discuss a few questions together after your child watches this week’s Motion episode.

Question #1: The author of Hebrews says, “Let us keep looking to Jesus.” What does it mean to “keep looking to Jesus”?

Question #2: Read Hebrews 12:2. This verse talks about how Jesus was able to stay on the cross because He knew good things would come later. When you’re going through something not so good, what kinds of things can you think about to help you keep going?

Question #3: Jesus died for our sins, and when we put our faith in Him, we become part of a community of other people who follow Him too. How can that help you keep going?

Question #4: What are a few other ways you can remember to keep going when you’re dealing with something tough?

Read the Bible — by yourself and with others. Try different translations. Set aside a special, quiet time to dive in.
Ask questions to help you understand — who’s the author, who are they writing to, and how does this part of the Bible point you toward Jesus?
Yak — share about what you’re learning and what God is showing you, especially with friends who don’t have a relationship with Jesus or want to learn more about Him.

This week:

Read: John 3:16 — Write down what the verse means to you!

Ask: How can remembering Jesus’ sacrifice help us keep going?

Yak: Tell someone what you read. What are two ways they can remember Jesus this week?
