Monthly Bible Verse: Matthew 7:24, “Therefore, anyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
Bible Story: Who God Is and What He Does | Isaiah 43:1-5
Story Focus: I need to worship God because of who He is and what He does.
As we wrapped up our series Mine*Craft: Story Mode, we learned one more very important part of crafting our story: how to respond to who God is and all that He has done through worship.
And one last time, Dr. Oldman showed us a few ways NOT to respond to others.
Lesson Overview: In this final week of our series, we took time to reflect on our God, specifically the things He has done for us and His awesome attributes. We read in Isaiah 43:1-5 and saw how God made us, saved us, how He promises to be with us always, and how much He loves us.
We talked about how when we consider all of that and any of the many other things God does for us, worship is the only appropriate response. Worship, we learned, is not limited to singing, clapping, and dancing – although those are some of the fun ways we worship in Motion. Giving, praying, serving, and doing our best are also ways we can worship God.
As we continue to craft our stories and build our lives on the ways of God, it’s essential that worship is a foundational element.
