God is still in control when circumstances are tough. ● Colossians 3:15, NLT
As a family, discuss a few questions together after your child watches this week’s eKidz Online episode.
Question #1: Read Colossians 3:15, NLT. What does it look like to live in peace even when your heart is breaking?
Question #2: When your heart is really sad over a really difficult situation, it can feel impossible to find peace. How can you get the peace you need even in the most difficult situation? (e.g., cry when you need to, talk to a trusted adult, pray, read encouraging Bible verses, listen to worship music, sing to God, etc.)
Question #3: Why is it important to reach out for help when your heart is breaking? What happens when people try to “hold it in” and don’t talk to anyone?
God’s peace is forever, even in our toughest times. When it’s hard to feel God’s peace, we are never alone. He is always with us, and His peace does not leave us because of what we are facing — it’s always there.
This week, find peace in a tough situation. It might mean talking to a trusted adult, reading an encouraging Bible verse, talking to God, or singing a worship song. God is always with us, and we can find peace in His presence.
