Reveal what may be out of place in the things we say, think, and do. ● Ephesians 4:21-23 NLT
As a family, discuss a few questions together after your child watches this week’s episode.
Question #1: Read Ephesians 4:21-24, NLT. What do you think it means to “Throw off your old sinful nature”?
Question #2: What kind of picture does this verse give you of what sin is really like?
Question #3: Why is sin sometimes tempting? (Sin doesn’t always appear as a sin — sin often presents itself as something fun, powerful, or easy. It tries to convince us that it’s good — even when deep down we know it’s not good. It covers itself in charm and trickery, only to later reveal itself as a trap.)
Questions #4: When we pray, God can reveal ways that He can freshen up what we think, say, or do. Out of these three areas, which one do you feel is most “out of place” and what is one habit you could start that would help?
Since the Garden of Eden, humans have been tempted to grab control. But God wants us to throw off the old sinful nature, and recognize temptation for what it is — an illusion.
This week, freshen up your focus on God to reveal His goodness and holiness in the world. Think about the things you say, think, and do — which one do you feel is most “out of place” and what’s one habit you could start that would help?
