COOPERATION: Working together to do more than you can do alone.
Series Memory Verse: “Two people are better than one. They can help each other in everything they do.” Ecclesiastes 4:9 (NIrV)
Main Point: We can work together to help someone else succeed.
Bible Story: Defeating the Amalekites I Exodus 17:8-13

When a mysterious and elusive astronaut begins scaring away all the kids at Camp Jupiter, the camp is forced to consider immediate shutdown. Mr. Stone, the camp director, turns to the Finders for help. To get to the bottom of their weirdest mystery yet, the Finders will have to work together like never before and cooperate with an eager new ally. Can they pull together in time to solve a mystery that is out of this world? Or is Camp Jupiter headed toward a black hole?

Things are starting to get a little strange at Camp Jupiter and Mr. Stone’s daughter Ava is acting a little suspicious. The Finders don’t have much time to solve this mystery, and now that Caleb’s brother, X, wants to help, they are struggling to cooperate. As the Finders learn how to work together, we looked into God’s word to read a story about cooperation in Exodus 17.

Most people get tired of holding their arms up after only a few minutes, but for the Israelites to defeat the Amalekites Moses needed to hold his arms up for an entire battle. A battle could last hours or even days! Moses could never have held his arms up that long by himself, so Aaron and Hur had to work together to help Moses hold up his arms. Because of their cooperation, the Israelites won the battle!

Working together isn’t just important for helping ourselves get something done better or faster. We can also work together to help someone else succeed.

The Finders Bring It! Challenge
We want kids to Bring It! to church. The Bring It! Challenge encourages Motion kids to bring themselves, their Bible, and scripture they’ve learned to Motion. Not only can kids be rewarded for bringing it, but the Bring It! Challenge is a fun way to grow and learn more about God and how He wants us to live.

During Finders VI: The Case of Camp Jupiter, kids can earn an awesome Finders trading card each week by:

  • FINDING Ecclesiastes 4:9 in their Bible.
  • RECITING Ecclesiastes 4:9 from memory.
  • SAYING the series virtue, COOPERATION, from memory. (COOPERATION: Working together to do more than you can do alone.)
