Let’s celebrate the whole Christmas season by talking about who God is. As kids learn who God is, they trust His marvelous plan, love others without exception, and live for Jesus.
This week, we tuned into the Loop Show and took a look at Matthew 6:1-4, to learn about how we can be generous.
God has given so generously to us, and He wants us to be generous to others. However, the Bible teaches us that the position of our hearts when we give to others is actually more important than what we give. Jesus told the disciples that our generosity should happen in secret. We shouldn’t give publicly because we want to be honored by other people; we should give privately because we want to honor God.
At bedtime this week, read Matthew 6:1-4 and pray together. Pray your child will practice quiet generosity this week. Pray they’ll recognize the ways God blesses their generosity even when no one else sees what they’re doing.
