Kids are bombarded with so many deceitful messages about who they are and who they should be. They can only know the truth about who they were created to be by listening to God’s voice and by choosing to believe what He says about their identity in Him. God loves and values each of them, and He wants them to reflect His character to others, too!
This week, we tuned into the Loop Show to learn how we can reflect God’s light to others. We took a look at Ephesians 5:8 to see that we are children of the light and we can make our lives reflect God’s light so others can see how much He loves them.
When we embrace what it means to live as children of light, we are choosing to make our lives reflections of Jesus’ light. Our lives are like mirrors reflecting His love and forgiveness to others.
At bedtime this week, read Ephesians 5:8 and pray together. Pray your child would realize they are defined only by God’s view of them! They’re precious to Him and individually loved. Pray they’d be able to reflect the shining bright light of Jesus to others.
