This May in Motion (1st – 5th grade) we started a brand new series called Newman’s Excellent Dodgeball Adventure! If you have been here for a while you know all about our resident Bible scholar, Dr. Barry Oldman. But what you may not know is that Dr. Oldman has his very own arch nemesis … Newman!
This month we are going to get to know Newman a little better as we follow him and his dodgeball team, The Newmanators, as they learn about honor. Are the Newmanators ready for dodgeballs, trampolines, rotten tomatoes, and unbelievable referees as they compete in a trampoline dodgeball tournament? Check out the first episode!
Honor means acknowledging the value of others. Just like Joshua and the Israelites set up a memorial to remember what God had done for them, we can honor God by remembering all that He has done for us. It’s like Coach Tex said, ‘one of the most important things you can do is remember where you’ve come from.’
Help your child spend some time this week learning about different ways to honor God by helping him or her complete the activities on their GodTime card.
