Quest :: Week of July 1

Monthly Focus: Who can do what God wants you to do? (I can do what God wants me to do.)
Bible Story: Daniel| Daniel 1
Main Point: I can do things God’s way.
Memory Verse: God made us to do good works.” Ephesians 2:10 (NCV)

Kids Rock! This summer we’re continuing to learn about people in the Bible who did amazing things while they were still kids. They rocked because they did what God told them to do, and our children can obey God and do great things, too!

In this week’s lesson, Daniel and his friends ask to only eat vegetables and drink water to honor God.

Daniel and his friends wanted to eat things that made God happy. They did things God’s way. Kids are never too young to start doing things God’s way, and when they do things the way God wants them to, they ROCK!

June and July Memory Verse
This month our Bible verse says our God made us to do good things. Kids don’t have to wait until they’re grown up to do what God wants them to do; them can start now!

Children can recite the verse every week in June to earn a special memory verse card. When your child receives a memory verse card celebrate with them on learning their verse and put the card on their Quest poster.

God made (point both hands up)
us to do (point to yourself)
good works. (thumbs up)
Ephesians 2:10, NCV (open hands like a book)

Practice this verse together and encourage your child to recite it to their eGroup Leader this week in Quest.
