Quest :: Week of July 8

Monthly Focus: Who can do what God wants you to do? (I can do what God wants me to do.)
Bible Story: Miriam | Exodus 1:22 – 2:10
Main Point: I can protect others.
Memory Verse: God made us to do good works.” Ephesians 2:10 (NCV)

Kids Rock! This summer we’re continuing to learn about people in the Bible who did amazing things while they were still kids. They rocked because they did what God told them to do, and our children can obey God and do great things, too!

In this week’s lesson, Miriam protects her baby brother Moses after their mom puts him in a basket in the Nile River

Miriam watched over her brother in the water and then made sure her mom was the one to help the princess care for baby Moses. God wanted Miriam to protect Moses and she did! God wants us to protect others, too. You’re never too young to protect others, and when you protect others the way God wants you to, you ROCK!

June and July Memory Verse
This month our Bible verse says our God made us to do good things. Kids don’t have to wait until they’re grown up to do what God wants them to do; them can start now!

Children can recite the verse every week in June to earn a special memory verse card. When your child receives a memory verse card celebrate with them on learning their verse and put the card on their Quest poster.

God made (point both hands up)
us to do (point to yourself)
good works. (thumbs up)
Ephesians 2:10, NCV (open hands like a book)

Practice this verse together and encourage your child to recite it to their eGroup Leader this week in Quest.
