February Memory Verse: II Corinthians 10:5b, “And we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
Bible Story: I Peter 5:1-10
Main Point: Rise Above
This week we kicked off a brand new series in Motion, called Rise Above. We have synced up with the content Pastor Steven is teaching through his book and series “Crash the Chatterbox” and are excited to teach it to your kids. In fact, Pastor Steven recorded a special message to Motion to set up the series.
During this series, we’ll be following a pretty average kid named Daniel as he encounters various voices in his life and see how he learns to rise above them.
Make sure to come to Motion next week to see what happens to Daniel as he faces down Teddy “The Beast” Brinkley in his imagination!
In eGroup this weekend, we talked about three ways to rise above based on I Peter 5:1-10. To rise above, we should remember these phrases: “I know… it’s God’s show!” “There’s nothing wrong with strong!” and “Don’t listen to the lion!” This week, review those verses as a family and talk about ways you can strengthen your faith and rise above.
See you next week for week two of Rise Above!
