Rise Above : Episode 4 #CrashTheChatterbox

February Memory Verse: II Corinthians 10:5b, “And we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

Bible Story: Judges 13:2-5, Judges 16:18-21a, 25-30

Main Point: Sin won’t win

Once again, we meet up with Daniel as he encounters another negative voice in his life. Let’s see how he handles it!

This week, Daniel encountered a voice of condemnation, or shame. It tried to tell him that his mistakes disqualified him from the love of God, his parents, and others in his life. This is such a powerful voice that all of us (not just kids) face. Daniel overcame condemnation by remembering that God loves us and will forgive all of our mistakes if we’ll put our faith in Him.

As your kids make mistakes this week (because they will!), use them as teachable moments to remind them of God’s grace and mercy. And if your child has not asked Jesus to be their Savior, use those moments to begin to have conversations about what that means (if age appropriate, of course).

If you’d like a resource to help you have those conversations, see below.
